A display panel includes a first scanning band, a second scanning band, and a third scanning band positioned between the first scanning band and the second scanning band, and each scanning band includes a plurality of parallel scanning lines. The display panel further includes a plurality of parallel data lines extending across the first scanning band, the second scanning band, and the third scanning band. The driving voltage (i,j) is a target driving voltage corresponding to the pixel (i,j) plus the corresponding driving shift.

A method of frame processing which includes the following steps: 1) an input frame is input into the frame processing device, 2) according to the input frame and the previous input frame, the frame processing device selects a multiple number of output frames, and 3) the output frames are output by the frame processing device at a refresh rate greater than the first refresh rate. When the voltage value of the input frame is greater than the previous frame's voltage value, the voltage value of the output frame is greater than that of the input frame. When the voltage value of the input frame is less than the previous one's, the voltage value of the output frame is less than that of the input frame.

Method and apparatus for frame processing in a liquid crystal display

A method for handling a signal and the application thereof, and more particularly relates to a method for handling a display signal of hold-type display and the application thereof. The handling method of the present invention is that a digital process is performed to the display signal according to the operational surrounding data of hold-type display in order to obtain the compensative signal of the display signal. Then, a compiling process is performed with the compensative signal and the display signal in order to obtain a compensated display signal. Therefore, the response time of the hold-type display and the motion blur during displaying will be improved so that the display quality which is suitable for human eyes will be obtained.

Method for handling a signal and the application thereof

A driving device for driving pixels of a display from a first gray level to a second gray level. The first memory stores a first voltage data making the pixel display the first gray level. The second memory stores a driving voltage table recording dynamic driving voltages corresponding to predetermined gray level switching, respectively. The controller uses the dynamic driving voltage to drive the pixel. The dynamic driving voltage is selected from the driving voltage table according to the first voltage data of the first memory and a second voltage data provided by an outside circuit and determining the second gray level that the pixel will display.

Driving device and its driving method of liquid crystal display

A pixel structure of a display. A scanning electrode is provided to scan signals and a data electrode is used to provide data signals. Also, a first switch transistor comprises a first terminal for receiving the scanning signals and a second terminal for receiving the data signals, in which the first switch transistor outputs a switch signal in accordance with the scanning signal and the data signal. A display unit is coupled to the first switch transistor and outputs image data in accordance with the switch signal. A second switch transistor is coupled to the first switch transistor in which the second switch transistor becomes conductive according to the switch signal and a blanking signal provided by the exterior power so as to modify the image data.

An apparatus for converting a digital pixel signal to a gamma voltage signal for a pixel in a liquid crystal display (LCD), wherein the digital pixel signal corresponds to the pixel. The apparatus includes a pixel signal converting unit for converting the digital pixel signal to a converted pixel signal and a gamma correction unit coupled to the pixel signal converting unit for outputting the gamma voltage signal according to the converted pixel signal. The relation between the digital pixel signal and the converted pixel signal is determined according to a display color of the pixel.

A method of display by sub-frame driving on a monitor. The monitor has pixels arranged in an m*n array, where m and n are integers. The monitor receives a frame signal for displaying a frame for a frame periods. The frame signal includes pixel data for each of the pixels of the monitor. The frame period is divided into k sub-frame periods, a sub-frame being displayed during each of the sub-frame period. Each of the sub-frames corresponds to a driving shift voltage, and the method displays the sub-frames sequentially, wherein the method of displaying the pixel (i,j) of the p-th sub frame includes applying a driving voltage (i,j) to the pixel (i,j). The driving voltage (i,j) is a target driving voltage corresponding to the pixel (i,j) plus the corresponding driving shift voltage.
