Provided is a wide angle application high reflective mirror having a reflection band partially overlapping in a wavelength range of 800-4000 nm. The mirror comprises a film system in which a plurality of high refractive index film layers and a plurality of low refractive index film layers that are alternately stacked, and the material of the high refractive index film layer is one of SiH, SiOH, or SiON, or a mixture thereof. The highly reflective mirror can achieve a reflectance greater than 99% with an incident angle ranging from 0 to 60 degrees over a large angle range.

A single-ended output circulator includes a three-core optical fiber head having first, second, and third optical fiber cores; a walk-off crystal having a first surface facing towards the second end of the three-core optical fiber head tube and a second surface facing away from the second end of the three-core optical fiber head tube; a plurality of half-wave plates each having a first surface coupled to the second surface of the walk-off crystal and a second surface facing away from the second surface of the walk-off crystal; a collimating lens having a first end and a second end; a reflection mirror configured to reflect light beams from the collimating lens; an optical prism between the collimating lens and the reflection mirror and configured to transmit a light beam along a propagation direction according to a polarization direction of the light beam; and a polarization rotator.

Single-ended output circulator

An optical isolator includes a birefringent material and a Faraday rotator. The birefringent material receives a forward light propagating in a forward direction and a backward light propagating opposite to the forward direction. The birefringent material has an optical axis, wherein the forward light has a first polarization aligned perpendicular to the optical axis and is configured to pass the first birefringent material substantially along the forward direction. At least a portion of the backward light has a second polarization not perpendicular to the optical axis. The first birefringent material can displace the backward light to form a first displaced backward light. A Faraday rotator can rotate the forward light, and the backward light or the first displaced backward light by a same predetermined angle along the rotation direction.

Optical isolator device

A single longitudinal-mode laser includes a first mirror and a second mirror that define a laser cavity therein that does not include a linear polarizer. A birefringent gain medium can generate a lasing light at a lasing wavelength along a light propagation direction in response to a pump light at a pumping wavelength. The birefringent gain medium has an optical axis substantially perpendicular to the light propagation direction. A first wave plate positioned between the first mirror and the birefringent gain medium is a quarter wave plate at the lasing wavelength and a whole wave plate at the pumping wavelength. A second wave plate is positioned between the birefringent gain medium and the second mirror. The first wave plat and the second wave plate in part produce a single longitudinal mode in the lasing light.
