A data center security control module adaptable for installation and use on additional platforms beyond a standard Intel platform includes a baseboard management controller (BMC), a power module, a switch module, and a control module. The power module is configured for supplying power to the BMC. The switch module is electrically connected between the BMC and the power module. The control module obtains information as to a motherboard type of an external motherboard and turns the switch module on or off to make or break a connection between the BMC and the power module depending on the motherboard type. The application also provides a data center security control module control method.

A board mis-insertion prevention circuit includes a first detection circuit, a second detection circuit, and a control module. The first detection circuit detects whether a board is in a first state and outputs a first detection signal when the board is in the first state. The second detection circuit detects whether the board is in a second state when the board is not in the first state, and outputs a second detection signal when the board is in the second state. The control module receives the first detection signal or the second detection signal and can allow or disconnect a power supply to the board according to the first detection signal or the second detection signal.

The present disclosure provides a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) and a communication method. The CPLD includes a data transmission module, a first in first out (FIFO) memory, and an IC slave. The data transmission module obtains a first signal of the server, the FIFO memory obtains the first signal transmitted by the data transmission module, and the IC slave obtains the first signal transmitted by the FIFO memory, so that the baseboard management controller (BMC) reads the first signal from the IC slave through an IC bus.

Complex programmable logic device and communication method

The present disclosure provides a log information obtaining system and method. The log information obtaining system includes a baseboard management controller (BMC), a storage device, a first interface, a controller and a first selector. The storage device stores log information of the electronic device. The controller obtains a first signal of the BMC and determines the working state of the BMC, the controller outputs a first selection signal when the working state of the BMC is abnormal. The first selector selects the first output terminal to output the log information received from the first input terminal to the external device. Even if the BMC cannot work normally, it can still obtain the log information of the electronic device and debug the electronic device.

A protection circuit against connection of an incorrect power supply, applied in a server system, includes a mainboard circuit, the protecting circuit includes at least two power sources, a comparing module, and a protecting module. The comparing module determines whether the multiple power sources are the same in current and voltage. When the power sources are determined to be the same, the comparing module outputs a first signal, the protecting module connects the at least two power sources to the mainboard circuit accordingly. If the at least two power sources are determined as not being the same, the comparing module outputs a second signal, the protecting module disconnects the multiple power sources and the mainboard circuit accordingly.

The first casing is disposed in the second casing, and the second casing defines a first vent hole exposing the fins. The immersion cooling system dissipates heat by means of natural convection.

A method of automatic identification of PCIe configuration of a server and preventing operation if each slimline connector connected with a PCIe device is found connected to an incorrect slot of a mother board utilizes a combination of first and second signals of two null interfaces of the first connector as that ID signal and a combination of third and fourth signals of the two interfaces of a second connector as that ID signal. The CPLD receiving the ID signals detects whether the first and second slimline connectors are in their specified and correct slots. Powering on of computer is not permitted if incorrect connection is found, and a warning prompt is generated. A PCIe channel width for each slimline is automatically configured if no incorrect connection is found. A server applying the method is also disclosed.

An immersion cooling system includes a first casing, a plurality of fins, a liquid-cooled pipeline, and a liquid-cooled system. The first casing is used for containing a dielectric liquid in which a heat-generating component is immersed. The plurality of fins are disposed on and located outside the first casing. The liquid-cooled pipeline containing a coolant is attached to the first casing. The liquid-cooled system is disposed outside the first casing and connected with the liquid-cooled pipeline to remove heat from the coolant in the liquid-cooled pipeline. The immersion cooling system dissipates heat through two heat exchange mechanisms, that is, natural convection heat loss and heat absorption by liquid cooling.

A device with shock-absorbing qualities for fixing a hard disk in place on a chassis includes two brackets, a plurality of shock-absorbing cushions, and a plurality of first fasteners is described. The brackets located at opposite sides of a hard disk and the side surface of the bracket define a plurality of circular through holes with notches or cutaways continuing to the outer edge of the side surface. The cushions can be locked in the circular through holes after being introduced through the notches whilst sleeving the first fasteners. Two support portions are bent from ends of each bracket to support the hard disk in place.

An error handling system as applied to a server, the server comprising a central processing unit, the central processing unit configured to send a warning signal when the central processing unit generates an error. The error handling system includes a programmable logic device, a baseboard management controller coupled to a southbridge chip, and a basic input-output system coupled to the baseboard management controller. The southbridge chip is configured to detect the warning signal and send a notification signal to the baseboard management controller upon detection. The basic input-output system is configured to identify the error and correct the error upon receiving the notification signal.

An error correcting system applied to a server, the server comprising a central processing unit, the central processing unit configured to send a warning signal when the central processing unit generates error. The error correcting system includes a programmable logic device, a baseboard management controller coupled to the programmable logic device, and a basic input output system coupled to the baseboard management controller. The programmable logic device is configured to detect the warning signal and send an interrupt signal to the baseboard management controller after the warning signal is detected. The baseboard management controller is configured to send a notification signal to the basic input output system after receiving the interrupt signal. The basic input output system is configured to retrieve the error and correct the error after receiving the notification signal.

An exemplary signal collection system includes a signal transmitting module and a computer. The signal transmitting module outputs a high-speed signal with a high frequency. The signal collection system further includes a data collection module interconnecting the signal transmitting module and the computer. The data collection module includes a frequency reduction unit. The frequency reduction unit reduces the frequency of the high-speed signal output from the signal transmitting module and outputs the high-speed signal with a reduced frequency to the computer.
