A power-saving driving circuit for a display panel is provided. The display panel includes a pixel array including a plurality of data lines. The data lines are grouped into a plurality of pixel regions according to a scan time. Each of the pixel regions has a plurality of pixels. The power-saving driving circuit includes at least one source driver. The source driver respectively supplies a driving voltage to the pixels on at least one of the data lines. The driving voltage supplied by the source driver to each of the pixel regions has a varying driving capability determined according to a pulse width and/or a rising slope of the driving voltage. The pulse width and/or the rising slope of the driving voltage is larger when the driving voltage is supplied for driving the pixels in the pixel region farther from the source driver.

Power-saving driving circuit for display panel and power-saving driving method thereof

A display apparatus and a driving method for the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel and a first source driver. The display panel has a pixel array. The first source driver sequentially supplies a first overdrive voltage and a driving voltage to a pixel in the pixel array. The first overdrive voltage has a plurality of voltage levels according to positions of pixels in the pixel array.

A display device, a control circuit and associated control method are provided. The display device includes the control circuit and a display panel. The control circuit receives a plurality of source frames with a source frame rate. The control circuit generates a plurality of data signals and a plurality of gate signals based on the plurality of source frames. The display panel is electrically connected to the control circuit. The display panel displays the plurality of output frames according to the plurality of data signals and the plurality of gate signal. The plurality of output frames are displayed with one of a first refresh frame rate and a second refresh frame rate. A liquid crystal display panel and a display device are provided. The liquid crystal display includes a first common electrode, a second common electrode and pixels. The second common electrode and the first common electrode are electrically independent from each other. First pixels of the pixels are coupled to the first common electrode, and second pixels of the pixels are coupled to the second common electrode. Accordingly, usage or operation of the liquid crystal display panel is more flexible.

A gate driver for controlling a display apparatus is provided. The gate driver includes a logic circuit, a plurality of buffers, and a charge sharing module. The logic circuit generates a plurality of switch signals. The buffers are coupled to the logic circuit. Each of the buffers determines to provide a first voltage or a second voltage according to one of the switch signals to generate a gate driving signal. The charge sharing module is coupled to the output ends of the buffers and allows the output ends of the buffers to share charges according to a plurality of sharing signals during a forward edge and a backward edge of a square wave of each of the gate driving signals. Furthermore, a gate driving method for controlling a display apparatus is also provided.
