A central control device and a load balancing method thereof are provided. The central control device includes a network interface, a storage and a processor. The network interface is connected to a plurality of base stations and receives a load parameter from each base station. The storage stores the load parameters. The processor is electrically connected to the storage and the network interface. For each base station, the processor calculates a load indication according to the load parameter thereof to determine whether the base station is an overloaded base station based on the load indication, and calculates an offload priority indication according to the load indication, a quantity of off-loadable resources of at least one neighboring base station, a first weighting factor and a second weighting factor. The processor determines an offload order of the overloaded base stations according to the offload priority indications.

Central control device and load balancing method thereof

A coverage hole detection apparatus and method are provided. The coverage hole detection apparatus decides two boundary locations of a coverage hole according to (a) a time length from a time point when a user equipment (UE) has detected a disconnection from a first base station to a time point when the UE determines that a Radio Link Failure (RLF) has happened, (b) a time length from a time point when the UE receives an RLF report request from a second base station to a time point when the UE transmits an RLF report response to the second base station, (c) a location that the UE determines that the RLF has happened, and (d) a location where the UE transmits the RLF report response. The coverage hole detection apparatus decides the coverage hole according to the two boundary locations and a sensitivity range of the UE.

Coverage hole detection apparatus and method

An apparatus and method for deciding an offload list for a heavily loaded base station are provided. The heavily loaded base station serves a plurality of user equipments. A part of the user equipments are candidate user equipments, wherein a connection quality parameter of each of the candidate user equipments is smaller than a threshold. Each of the candidate user equipments has an offload utility value and a service level agreement degree. The apparatus selects one of the candidate user equipments as a selected user equipment according to the offload utility values. The apparatus decides to add an identity of the selected user equipment into the offload list according to at least the service level agreement degree of the selected user equipment and a load of a target base station of the selected user equipment.

Apparatus and method for deciding an offload list for a heavily loaded base station

A control device and a control method for dynamically adjusting power of small-cell base stations are provided. The control device determines the number of interfered terminals of each small-cell base station according to signal quality information of terminal devices, divides the small-cell base stations into a plurality of groups, and adjusts the power of the small-cell base stations of each group in order.
