A heat dissipation simulator of a component on a printed circuit board (PCB) includes a simulation board and a simulated heat source. The simulation board includes an iron layer and a plastic layer. The simulated heat source includes a simulation chip, a thermal, and a heat sink. The simulation chip, the thermal piece, and the heat sink are mounted on the simulation board in that order. The heat dissipation simulator replaces a sample of the PCB with the component for simulating working states of the component on the PCB.

A fastening device for an expansion card includes a first rack, a second rack opposite to the first rack, and a fastener. The first rack defines a first opening. A supporting plate extends from the first rack toward the second rack. A position tab extends up from the supporting plate. The fastener engages with the first rack and comprises a resilient arm. The supporting plate supports a bottom surface of a first end of the expansion card. The position tab is received in a mounting hole defined in the first end of the expansion card. The resilient arm is deformed and extends through the first opening, and is blocked by the first rack and abuts a top surface of the first end of the expansion card. A second end of the expansion card is fastened to the second rack.

Fastening device for expansion card

An electronic device enclosure includes a casing, an air duct mounted in the casing, and a latching member. The air duct includes a receiving bracket formed on the air duct for receiving an uninterruptible power supply module. The latching member is covered on the receiving bracket to position the uninterruptible power supply module. A first side of the latching member is rotatably connected to the receiving bracket, and a second side of the latching member is detachably latched to the receiving bracket.

Electronic device enclosure

A mounting apparatus is used for mounting a backplane in a chassis. The backplane defines a number of locking slots in opposite sides and a through hole in a middle portion. The mounting apparatus includes a bracket and a locking member pivotably mounted to the chassis. The bracket includes a bottom plate fixed on the bottom wall, and a side plate and a flange extending up from the bottom plate. The bottom plate defines a slide slot. The side plate and the flange each form a number of retaining tabs. A post extends on the locking member and extends through the slide slot and the through hole. The circuit board is set on the bottom plate, with the locking slots aligned with the retaining tabs. The locking member is rotated, the post drives the circuit board to move, until the retaining tabs retain a top surface of the backplane.

Mounting apparatus for backplane

A fixing apparatus is used to parallel mount an expansion card to a motherboard. The fixing apparatus includes a mounting bracket fixed to the motherboard, and a retaining member rotatably connected to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket includes a supporting board supporting the expansion card. The retaining member includes an abutting arm and a locking portion. When the retaining member is rotated to a locking position, the abutting arm abuts against a top of the expansion card to sandwich the expansion card with the supporting board, and the locking portion engages with the mounting bracket to prevent a rotation of the retaining member. When the retaining member is rotated to a releasing position, the abutting arm will move away from the expansion card.

Fixing apparatus for expansion card

An electronic device includes a motherboard defining a number of through holes, a bottom wall forming a number of posts, and a fixing member including a fixing body mounted to the bottom wall and a movable body slidably mounted to the fixing body. Each through hole includes a first hole and a second hole communicating with each other. Each post includes a supporting portion, a head, and a neck. The fixing body forms a protrusion. The movable body includes a main portion, a connecting portion connected to the main portion and defining a limiting slot. The heads are extended through the first holes; the necks abut end walls bounding the second holes. The motherboard is sandwiched between the heads and the supporting portions, the protrusion is engaged in the limiting slot, and the main body abuts against an end of the motherboard adjacent to the fixing member.

A fastening device for an expansion card includes a first rack located at a front side, a second rack located at a rear side, a supporting member fastened to the first rack, and a rotating member rotatably connected to the supporting member. A pole extends up from the supporting member. When the rotating member is rotated up, a first end of the expansion card is operable to abut a top of the supporting member and the pole extends through a mounting hole defined in the first end of the expansion card. The rotating member is operable to rotate down to abut a top of the expansion card and engage with the supporting member. A second end of the expansion card opposite to the first end is fastened to the second rack.

A fastening device for fastening a data storage device includes a rack and a resilient tab. The rack includes a bottom plate to support the data storage device. Two first stop tabs protrude up from the bottom plate to abut against a first sidewall of the data storage device. Two first pins extend from the first corresponding stop tabs to engage in two mounting holes defined in the first sidewall. The resilient tab is attached to the rack to abut against a second sidewall of the data storage device. A second pin protrudes from the resilient tab to engage in a locking hole defined in the second sidewall.

Fastening device for data storage device

A mounting apparatus for mounting a hard disk drive (HDD) is provided. The HDD includes two opposite sidewalls each defining a positioning hole. The mounting apparatus includes a supporting plate and a fixing assembly. The fixing assembly includes a positioning member mounted on the supporting plate, a latching member fixed to the positioning member, and an operation member slidably sandwiched between the positioning member and the latching member. The latching member includes a resilient latching portion with a latching post. The operation member includes an abutting block slidably abutting against the latching portion, to bias the latching post to latch into or disengage from one of the positioning holes of the HDD.

Mounting apparatus for hard disk drive

A front panel assembly includes a front panel, and an identification plate. The front panel defines two arc-shaped slots and a through hole. The through hole includes a positioning area, first and second extension areas extending from the positioning area along perpendicular directions, and a transition area between the first and second extension areas. The identification plate includes a main body with a logo marked on a front side, and two engagement tabs and a cam protruding from a back side of the identification plate. The engagement tabs slidably engage in the corresponding slots. The cam includes a rotation portion received in the positioning area of the through hole, and a locking portion extending from the rotation portion to move between the first extension area, the second extension area, and the transition area of the through hole, with the identification plate rotating relative to the front panel.

A fastening device for fastening a data storage device includes a rack and a fastening member. The rack includes a bottom plate to support the data storage device, and two stop tabs protruding up from the bottom plate to abut against a first sidewall of the data storage device. Two first pins respectively extend from the stop tabs to engage in two corresponding holes defined in the first sidewall of the data storage device. The fastening member includes a main body attached to the bottom plate to abut against a second sidewall of the data storage device, and a resilient portion extending from the main body. A second pin protrudes from the resilient portion to engage in a locking hole defined in the second sidewall of the data storage device.

A fixing apparatus for a connector includes a fixing plate and a fastener. The connector includes a main body, a block protruding from the main body, a connecting portion protruding from the block, and two protrusions respectively extending from opposite sides of the block. The fixing plate defines an opening, two notches communicating with the opening, and a positioning hole. The fastener is mounted to the main body of the connector and includes a slidable shaft. When the connecting portion and the block are extended through the opening, the protrusions are respectively extended through the notches, and the main body engages with a rear surface of the fixing plate. The connector is capable of sliding along the opening, to allow the protrusions to engage with a front surface of the fixing plate, and to allow the shaft to engage in the positioning hole.

Fixing apparatus for connector

A connector assembly includes a connector and a fixing plate. The connector includes a block, a connector body formed on a front side of the block, two protrusions at the top and two at the bottom of the block, a limiting member acting as a backplate, and a protruding and deformable latch extending from the block. The fixing plate defines an opening, two notches communicating with the opening, and a positioning hole. When the connector body is pushed through the opening with the two protrusions respectively aligning with and passing through the two notches, the latch is deformed to abut against a rear surface of the fixing plate. The connector may be slid along the opening, to allow the latch to engage in the positioning hole. The protrusions are caught and locked in place by a front surface of the fixing plate.

Electrical connector assembly

An attachment mechanism for an electronic component includes a circuit board, an engaging member, and a pivoting member. The circuit board comprises a first connector to be connected to a second connector of the electronic component. The pivoting member is rotatably connected to the engaging member. The first connector is sandwiched by the pivoting member and the engaging member. The pivoting member includes a resilient bar to abut against a first end of a top surface of the electronic component.

Attachment mechanism for electronic component

A mounting apparatus is used to fix a flash drive mounted on a circuit board with a connector. The mounting apparatus receives the flash drive and connector. The mounting apparatus includes a base board, and a first sidewall and a second sidewall opposite to each other. An operation portion extends from an end of the base board opposite to the circuit board and forms a blocking portion on a front surface to block a top of the flash drive. Two pairs of fixing portions are formed on the mounting apparatus, respectively for perpendicularly and horizontally mounting the mounting apparatus to the circuit board.
