Disclosed herein are a heat-shrinkable polyester label film and a preparation method thereof. The label film has a shrinkage force not lower than 5.5 N in at least one shrinkage direction after immersing the heat-shrinkable polyester label film in water at 55° C. for 30 seconds, and a heat shrinkage rate of not lower than 50% in the shrinkage direction after immersing the heat-shrinkable polyester label film in water at 55° C. for 240 seconds.

Heat-shrinkable polyester label film and method for preparing thereof

A heat-shrinkable polyester film made of a polyester-forming resin composition includes a recycled material, and has an exothermic crystallization peak and an endothermic melting peak which are determined via differential scanning calorimetry, and which satisfy relationships of T2−T1≤68° C. and T3−T2≤78° C., where T1 represents an onset point of the exothermic crystallization peak, T2 represents an end point of the exothermic crystallization peak and an onset point of the endothermic melting peak, and T3 represents an end point of the endothermic melting peak. A method for manufacturing the heat-shrinkable polyester film is also disclosed.

Heat-shrinkable polyester film and method for manufacturing the same

A heat-shrinkable polyester film is made of a polyester resin composition, and has first and second crystal melting peaks at a respective one of first and second melting temperatures determined via differential scanning calorimetry. The heat-shrinkable polyester film further has a melting enthalpy in a range of larger than 0 J/g and at most 7 J/g which is calculated via integration of an area below the second crystal melting peak. The polyester resin composition includes a first polyester resin having a glass transition temperature ranging from 40&#xb0; C. to 80&#xb0; C., and a second polyester resin having a crystal melting temperature ranging from 220&#xb0; C. to 250&#xb0; C. and a melting enthalpy ranging from 40 J/g to 60 J/g.

Heat-shrinkable polyester film and process for making the same

A heat-shrinkable polyester film is made from a polyester resin composition which includes an amorphous polyalkylene benzenedicarboxylate resin and a polyester elastomer resin. The polyester elastomer resin includes hard segments and soft segments, and is prepared by copolycondensation of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a diol component. The diol component includes a C2-C4 alkylene glycol for the hard segments and a polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight not greater than 400 for the soft segments. The soft segments of the polyester elastomer resin are in an amount ranging from 1 part by weight to 2 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the polyester resin composition.

Heat-shrinkable polyester film

A poly(lactic acid) resin composition, including: (a) a poly(lactic acid) resin; and (b) a modifier which is in the form of nanoparticle aggregate with a particle size of less than 1000 nm and uniformly dispersed in the poly(lactic acid) resin, wherein the nanoparticle aggregate is obtained from the polycondensation of at least one metal/nonmetal alkoxide, at least one metal/nonmetal alkoxide having at least one functional group capable of reacting with the poly(lactic acid) resin, or a mixture thereof. A process for preparing a transparent and impact-resistant article from the poly(lactic acid) resin composition of the invention, and articles prepared therefrom are also provided.

A method of making a polylactic acid based article includes: (a) providing a sheet having a crystallinity ranging from 0% to 15% and including a polylactic acid polymer composition, the polylactic acid polymer composition having a polylactic acid polymer, a copolyester polymer, and a crystal nucleating agent; (b) heating the sheet to maintain a surface of the sheet at a temperature ranging from 95&#xb0; C. to 105&#xb0; C. while keeping the crystallinity of the sheet lower than 20%; and (c) thermoforming the sheet in a mold having a temperature ranging from 95&#xb0; C. to 130&#xb0; C. so as to form a polylactic acid based article having a crystallinity ranging from 35% to 45%.

Method of making a polylactic acid based article

A copolyester composition includes: an aliphatic-aromatic copolyester; a coupling agent including a compound having an epoxy functional group; and a cocatalyst including a carboxylate of manganese and a carboxylate of zinc, wherein a weight ratio of the carboxylate of manganese to the carboxylate of zinc ranges from 1:3 to 3:1, and the cocatalyst is present in an amount ranging from 0.03-0.2 part by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the aliphatic-aromatic copolyester.

Copolyester composition and method for producing copolyester polymer

A poly(lactic acid) resin composition is provided, comprising (a) a poly(lactic acid) resin, (b) at least one modifier selected from at least one metal/nonmetal alkoxide, at least one metal/nonmetal alkoxide having at least one functional group capable of reacting with the poly(lactic acid) resin, or a mixture thereof, (c) a first catalyst, and (d) optionally, a second catalyst. A process for preparing a transparent and impact-resistant article from the poly(lactic acid) resin composition of the invention, and articles prepared therefrom are also provided.

A method for preparing a biodegradable copolyester includes: (a) optionally preparing an aromatic prepolymer by reacting a first aromatic dicarboxylic compound with a first aliphatic glycol; (b) reacting the aromatic prepolymer with a second aromatic dicarboxylic compound and a second aliphatic glycol so as to form a first reaction product; (c) reacting the first reaction product with an aliphatic dicarboxylic compound so as to form a second reaction product; and (d) performing polycondensation of the second reaction product.
