A fluorescent lamp includes three transformers, a power supply, a converter, and four lamp tubes. The converter converts a direct current (DC) provided by the power supply into an alternating current (AC) generated in a first transformer and a second transformer for driving the four lamp tubes to emit light. The third transformer is connected to the four lamp tubes to balance working electric potentials of the four lamp tubes.

An inverter includes a pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit, a direct current (DC) voltage input terminal, a storage capacitor, a first transformer, a soft start circuit, and a first transistor. The PWM circuit includes a first output terminal. The first transformer includes a first primary winding. The first primary winding includes a first terminal and a second terminal capable of being grounded via the storage capacitor. The soft start circuit includes an inductor and a first capacitor. A gate electrode of the first transistor is connected to the first output terminal. A source electrode of the first transistor is connected to the first terminal of the first transformer via the inductor. A drain electrode of the first transistor is connected to the DC voltage input terminal and connected to the source electrode via the capacitor.

Inverter for a liquid crystal display device with soft start circuit to overcome power loss in transistor switching

An exemplary switching power supply circuit includes a transformer, a switching control circuit, a DC-DC converter, and a signal selecting circuit. The transformer converts a DC voltage into a first DC voltage and a second DC voltage. The switching control circuit controls a current flowing on the transformer for generating the first DC voltage and the second DC voltage. The DC-DC converter converts the first DC voltage or the second DC voltage into a third DC voltage. The signal selecting circuit selects the first DC voltage or the second DC voltage for the DC-DC converter to generate the third DC voltage.

Switching power supply circuit

An exemplary DC to DC converter includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a transformer, and a pulse generating circuit having a first capacitor, a sampling resistor, a zener diode, and a first diode. A DC voltage input terminal is configured for receiving a first DC voltage and is grounded via the primary winding of the transformer, a collector electrode and an emitter electrode of the first transistor in series. A terminal of the auxiliary winding of the transformer is grounded via the inverted first diode, the non-inverted zener diode, the sampling resistor, and the first capacitor. The other terminal of the auxiliary winding is grounded. A first transistor having a base electrode connected to the DC voltage input terminal. A second transistor includes an emitter electrode a cathode of the zener diode, a collector electrode connected to a base electrode of the first transistor, and a grounded base electrode.
