An integrated circuit device having functional circuitry driven by a clock signal includes onboard clock generation circuitry. The clock generation circuitry includes an input configured to accept a frequency reference signal, at least one variable loading capacitor coupled to the input for converting the crystal resonator signal into a calibrated clock signal, and calibration circuitry configured to calibrate the at least one variable loading capacitor based on a reference voltage. The input configured to accept a frequency reference signal may be configured to accept a crystal resonator signal.

Wireline transceiver with internal and external clock generation

An integrated circuit device, having functional circuitry driven by a clock signal, includes a first clock path for accepting an external clock signal where the first clock path includes first biasing circuitry configured to controllably pass the external clock signal, a second clock path for accepting an external frequency reference signal where the second clock path includes internal clock generation circuitry configured to generate an internal clock signal from the external frequency reference signal and second biasing circuitry configured to controllably pass the external frequency reference signal to the internal clock generation circuitry, and selector circuitry configured to select, based on user input, a clock output to drive the functional circuitry of the integrated circuit device. The clock output is selected from between (i) an output of the first clock path, and (ii) an output of the second clock path.

An oscillator circuit includes a first current generator circuit that generates a current complementary to absolute temperature and a second current generator that generates a current proportional to absolute temperature. A temperature slope control circuit adjusts slopes of the current complementary to absolute temperature and the current proportional to absolute temperature in a complementary fashion and adds the current complementary to absolute temperature to the current proportional to absolute temperature after slope control to produce a temperature independent current. A current control circuit adjusts magnitude of the temperature independent current to produce a magnitude adjusted temperature independent current. A current controlled oscillator generates an output signal as a function of the magnitude adjusted temperature independent current.

Temperature stable oscillator

In some implementations, a system includes a voltage regulating circuit and a compensation circuit. The voltage regulating circuit includes a pass element configured to provide a regulated voltage to a load. The compensation circuit is configured to adjust a variable resistance based on a current of the load, the variable resistance being coupled to a gate terminal of the pass element through a capacitor.

Voltage regulator with stability compensation

An apparatus includes a differential amplifier. The differential amplifier includes a first side circuit configured to receive a first input signal, a second side circuit configured to receive a second input signal, and a resonant tank circuit coupled between the first and second side circuits. A first capacitor and first switch may be provided in series between a source and drain of a cascode transistor. A second capacitor and second switch may be provided in series between a source and drain of an input transistor. A method includes receiving a first input signal by a first side circuit, receiving a second input signal by a second side circuit, controlling a resource of a resonant tank circuit, and outputting an output signal according to the first and second input signals. The resource of the resonant tank circuit may be controlled according to a transmission mode, frequency band, or both.

Time base correction for digitized video signal

A video apparatus has a digital encoder which receives a first analogue video signal with ancillary information in a given time window and generates on an output a digital stream based on the first analogue video signal. A digital decoder is connectable to this output to generate a second analogue video signal. A switch selects between the first analogue video signal and the second analogue video signal as an output depending on a control signal based on the occurrence of said time window.
