Electrical connector with improved contacts

An electrical connector includes a housing located in the front of the electrical connector, a plurality of contacts received in the housing, a plurality of cables connected to the contacts, and a cover assembled on the housing. The housing further includes a base portion, a mating portion frontward extending from the base portion and defining a mating direction, and a fastening portion rearward extending from the base portion. The fastening portion includes a bottom surface defining an inclined plane, and an angle is formed between the horizontal plane and the inclined plane.

Electrical connector with improved fastening device

A cable assembly for mounting to a panel, comprises a housing comprising a mating portion and a retaining portion extending rearward and outward from a rear end of the mating portion, the retaining portion has a receiving hole therein and a cutout communicated with the receiving hole. At least one key is formed on each of an upper surface and a lower surface of the mating portion. A plurality of conductive contacts are disposed in the housing. A positioning member mounted to the retaining portion of the housing defines an inner arm, an outer arm and a connecting portion connecting with the inner arm and the outer arm. The inner arm is disposed in the receiving hole and having a front end extending out of the receiving hole. The outer arm is located on a lateral side of the retaining portion and has a front end extending into the receiving hole via the cutout and is capable of moving the inner arm rearward to make the front end of the inner arm retracted into the receiving hole.

Cable assembly adapted to be mounted to panel

A cable assembly () is mounted into a panel () defining a mounting hole () and has a first connector (), a second connector () back to back assembled to the first connector, and a cable device () mounted to the first connector. The first connector () has a first insulative housing () having a base () and at least a locking member () extending through the mounting hole to lock the first connector to the panel. A power connector includes an insulative housing defining at least one passage, at least a first contact to form anode of the power connector and a second contact to form cathode of the power connector received in the insulative housing and each contact having a contacting portion, and a biasing member received in the one passage of the insulative housing; wherein the biasing member includes a flat positioning portion, and a bent elastic arm respectively elastically bracing against the upper wall and the lower wall of said passage, and a tongue portion having a contacting portion and a grounding element to electrically connect outer electric element, and the contacting portion of the tongue portion is closer to the front surface of the power connector than the contacting portion of at least one of the first and second contacts.
