Methods, systems and instructions stored on computer-readable media for generating a first data stream and a second data stream. The first data stream is spread using a first gold code unique to a first tag. The second data stream is spread using a second gold code unique to a second tag. The spread first data stream and the spread second data stream are combined into a combined data stream. The combined data stream is transmitted to the first tag and the second tag.

Combined unique gold code transmissions

A musical instrument is comprised of a keyboard, a strummer, and a processor. The keyboard and strummer send event messages to the processor whenever a key is pressed, or a string is plucked, respectively. At the time a string is plucked, the processor dynamically assigns a note to the string, based on which keys are depressed. The dynamic note assignment ensures that the top, or a predefined string is part of any selected chord or scale passage. In response to strummer and keyboard events, the processor selects different timbres or articulations of the note including: clean, thumb harmonics, muted, hammer-on, or pull-off. The processor plays back recorded samples or synthesized tones to emulate the sounds of different playing techniques on an acoustic, electric, bass guitar or other stringed instruments.

A musical keyboard comprises one or more handboards, where each handboard has a two dimensional arrangement of keys. The columns are formed by an octave of conventional piano keys. The rows are formed by subdividing the conventional piano keys. First the keys are subdivided into a front key area with wide white keys and optionally thin extensions of the black keys, and a rear key area with white and black keys. The front and rear key areas are each further subdivided into rows of octaves. Two octaves of a note can be played with the same finger, and a hand can span a three octave range.
