A consumable electrode including a core wire and a coating adapted for welding clad steel products. The resulting weld deposit overcomes the problem of iron dilution which tends to degrade the weld when available electrodes are utilized. Such clad products are often exposed to sulfur and acidified chloride environments.

Welding electrode

A coated electrode having a flux formulation that is a function of the diameter of the electrode wire. The electrode wire is made from a nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum-aluminum alloy. The flux coating contains differing amounts of manganese, iron and columbium depending on the diameter of the core wire.
