A cabin management control device is disclosed. In embodiments, the cabin management control device includes a touchscreen (e.g., either a fixed panel or a mobile computing device) and processors. The computing device is in communication with aircraft-based networks or controllers configured for control of cabin features or functions. The computing device displays, via the touchscreen, an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) in the form of a high resolution 'virtual cabin', e.g., a graphical representation of the aircraft cabin or a zone thereof. The GUI incorporates active touch areas (ATA) corresponding to visible cabin features (e.g., lighting, windows, inflight entertainment systems (IFE)). Similarly, the GUI displays direct access controls (DAC) allowing for similar control of non-visible cabin features (e.g., volume settings, climate settings), When an ATA or DAC is selected, the GUI displays a textless control interface enabling the user to control the corresponding feature via an optimally intuitive interface.

Hypercontextual touch-the-plane (TTP) cabin management graphical user interface (GUI)

A system, device, and method for creating widgets presentable in an image are disclosed. The widget creating system may include a system configuration file, one or more definition files, and a windows generator (WG). The WG may be configured to perform definition and run-time operations. The definition operation may include loading the system configuration file; loading first definition file(s) owned by a first user application and include at least one first-layer widget defined by a set of widget parameters, where each set may include contents corresponding to a second definition file of a second layer; and creating one or more first-layer widgets. The run-time operation may include loading one or more first-layer widget data parameter sets, where the contents corresponding to the second definition file are loaded and at least one second-layer widget is created during run time.

Run-time widget creating system, device, and method

A system includes a first graphics interface, a second graphics interface, and a display system. The first graphics interface is configured to receive first graphics instructions from a user application, identify an abstraction mode of the user application, and generate second graphics instructions based on the first graphics instructions and the abstraction mode. The second graphics interface is configured to receive the second graphics instructions from the first graphics interface and generate a widget based on the second graphics instructions. The display system includes a graphics generator and a display device. The graphics generator is configured to generate a visual representation based on the widget. The display device is configured to display the visual representation.

Systems and methods for user driven avionics graphics

An avionics development environment based on high level interpreted language for rapid creation and deployment of avionics software is disclosed. Functional modules are segregated in time and allocated segregated resources so that functional modules only interact in predictable, deterministic ways. Segregated functional modules are individually certifiable for avionics operation, and parameters necessary for certification are associated with each functional module to ensure the end application conforms to such parameters.
