A system including an image sensor mounted on a vehicle, memory storing data captured by the image sensor, a buffer for temporarily storing data, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) that senses an impact on the vehicle, a switch connected to the image sensor, a main system on chip (SOC) connected to the image sensor via the switch, that stores data in the memory, the main SOC being in a dormant power mode while the vehicle is parked or idle, and in an active power mode while the vehicle is moving, and transitioning from dormant mode to active mode when the IMU senses that the vehicle suffers an impact, and a low-power secondary SOC microcontroller connected to the image sensor via the switch, that manages power of the system and stores data in the buffer, the buffer storing data that was captured prior to and upon the IMU detecting an impact.

A system for training simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) models, including a camera, mounted in a vehicle and in communication with an image server via a cellular connection, that captures images labeled with a geographic position system location and a timestamp, and uploads them to an image server, a storage device that stores geographical maps and images, and indexes the images geographically with reference to the geographical maps, an images server that receives uploaded images, labels the uploaded images with a GPS location and a timestamp, and stores the uploaded images on the storage device, and a training server that trains a SLAM model using images labeled with a GPS location and a timestamp, wherein the SLAM model (i) receives an image as input and predicts the image location as output, and/or (ii) receives an image having error as input and predicts a local correction for the image as output.

A modularized system for assembling electronic systems within vehicles, including a hardware connection unit embedded in a vehicle, a plurality of modules in the vehicle, communicating with the hardware connection unit, either by direct support or by an adaptor, and communicating with each other either by wired or by wireless communication, and a cellular device in the vehicle, communicating with the hardware connection unit and with one or more cloud services, and downloading firmware and software for the modules from the one or more cloud services, wherein the system is viewed and modified using a dedicated smartphone application or a cloud dashboard.

Modular vehicle sensing, assisting connected system

Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for detecting one or more trigger condition on a mobile platform and activating an offline calibration of one or more sensors on the mobile platform in response to the one or more trigger conditions. Additionally, an operational profile of the one or more sensors may be updated based on the offline condition. In one example, the trigger conditions include one or more of a time condition, a temperature condition, a motion condition or a system event condition.

Offline sensor calibration

A sensor interface circuit enables signal reconstruction on data received from a sensor prior to sending the data to various sensor clients. Multiple sensor clients have different frequencies configured to receive sensor data. The sensor interface circuit performs signal reconstructions including data interpolation to generate interpolated data signal having frequencies corresponding to the different frequencies configured for the different sensor clients. Signal reconstruction can also include filtering the data. The sensor interface circuit sends the reconstructed data to the multiple clients in accordance with their different frequencies.
