The color television receiver includes a square-wave clock generator used as a chrominance subcarrier oscillator generating at least four clock signals, the first of which has a frequency four times the chrominance subcarrier frequency, and the second to fourth of which have a frequency equal to the chrominance subcarrier frequency, the first and second clock signals having a mark/space ratio of 1:1; a stage providing a digital chrominance signal, a first digital circuit having as one input signal the digital chrominance signal, and as another input signal the digital chroma control signal to provide a digital amplitude control of the received chrominance subcarrier wave; and a second digital circuit to provide digital identification and color killer action and, if necessary, digital noise-dependent color killer action.

An audio power amplifier with class-D push pull output stage is disclosed using a 'mixture' of pulse-width modulation and pulse-amplitude modulation and driving the class-D push pull output stage with the resulting combination signal. To do this, the digital output signal of the analog-to-digital converter in the input stage is split up in such a way that only its high-order bits control the pulse-width modulator, while the other low-order bitsare changed into the aforementioned pulse-amplitude-modulated signal by means of an analog-to-digital converter.

Circuit arrangement for the transmission and the directly following repetition of a pulse, with the duration of the transmitted pulse being equal, and the duration of the repeated pulse being in proportion to the duration of the pulse, by using a differential amplifier-like arrangement of a first and of a second transistor with two load transistors complementary thereto connected as a current-transformer circuit, and with a constant current source arranged within the common emitter circuit comprising the base of the first transistor being applied via an input capacitor to the pulse input and, across a first resistor to a fixed potential the amount of which is smaller than that of the operating voltage and greater than zero, with the signs thereof being equal to that of the operating voltage, the base of the second transistor being connected to the collector thereof and to a capacitor applied to the zero point of the circuit, the emitters of the load transistors being applied across a second and a third resistor to the operating voltage, the emitter of the load transistor of the second transistor being the pulse output, and the duration of the repeated pulse being fixed by the ratio of the collector currents flowing in said load transistors.

Pulse transmission and repetition circuit

A monolithic integrated digital-to-analog converter is provided wherein the resistors are replaced by insulated-gate field-effect transistors thus avoiding any detrimental effects of variation between supposedly identical components. The equivalent resistance values of the insulated-gate field-effect transistors are determined by a fixed ratio of channel width to channel length.
