Disclosed herein are, among other things, systems and methods for providing digital content for multiple venues to mobile devices. In some embodiments, venue location data defining a geographic boundary of each of a plurality of venues and venue content data for a plurality of different attractions associated with the venue is stored. A processing device system may be configured to determine a current location of the mobile device, and provide at least some of the venue content data based at least on an analysis of the venue location data, or attraction location data, and the current location.

A motion picture telecine scanner interposes a motion picture negative or print film (10) in an optical light path (12) between a light source (14) and a pickup stage (16) that develops a plurality of separate color output signals (R, G, B). By balancing the scanner so that the pickup stage provides substantially equivalent output levels in the respective colors for color transmissions substantially equivalent to like transmissions through the base density of a negative film, substantial signal-to-noise performance is realized during negative scanning. The base density is provided during a calibration mode by an optical filter (44) that is inserted into the light path with the motion picture film removed. In addition, the optical filter (44) is kept in the light path (12) during motion picture print scanning without any loss in signal-to-noise performance.

The present image sensor mounting system is particularly adapted to the mounting of a linear sensor array, of the type having a transparent window on a front surface and a thermal and electrically conductive back surface. The system provides superior electrical and thermal transfer characteristics. A multilayer circuit board having layers of conductive material separated by layers of insulating material and having an opening therethrough sufficient in size to accept the heat sink provides the system support. The heat sink is mounted in the multilayer circuit board opening in thermal and electrical contact with the metal plating. An illumination system for a film scanner is disclosed which comprises a light source and optics for providing a line of light on a film. Light transmitted through the film is imaged onto photosensor elements such as CCD arays. In order to obtain a high quality electronic image, a xenon light source is used, color filters are included in the system to control the spectral content of the light provided to the film gate, and an integrating cylinder is used to provide a line of diffuse light on the film.

A telecine scanner is selectively conformed to evaluate the dye densities characteristic of either negative or print film. The film is interposed in a light path between a light source and a pickup stage that develops a plurality of color output signals from the light passing through the film. Color channel filters included in the pickup stage have spectral passbands in the respective colors that are broad enough to include the spectral dye densities of both negative and print materials. The scanner sensitivity is further limited to a particular film material by inserting an appropriate shaping filter set into the light path, preferably between the light source and the film, for conforming the peak sensitivity of at least one of the passbands to the peak spectral density of the corresponding dye of the particular film material.

The system of the present invention increases the resolution (number of picture elements or pixels) of an image that may be formed from an image sensor without increasing the resolution of the sensor. The system operates upon a color image beam using a set of primary color filters, including at least two filters of the same color, with at least one of the filters being capable of displacing the color image beam by a distance equal to a fraction of the distance between adjacent photosensitive elements which form the image sensor. The color wheel is rotated to sequentially place each filter of the set of primary filters into the color image beam. The array of photosensitive elements forming the image sensor is positioned to receive the colored image beam which passes through each filter. Each photosensitive element produces signals indicative of the intensity of the color image beam components incident thereon. The signals produced by the photosensitive elements of the image sensor are stored for each filter positioned in the path of the color image beam. A composite image signal is formed from the stored signals by combining the signals such that the filter displaced pixels are interleaved with the non-displaced pixels. The resultant image therefore has a greater number of pixels, or higher resolution, than the image sensor.
