A security alarm system includes a security light that has a pair of sockets and a motion detector. The motion detector is electrically coupled to each of the sockets. The motion detector actuates each of the sockets when the motion detector detects motion. A first alarm is removably coupled to an associated one of the sockets such that the first alarm is in electrical communication with the associated socket. The first alarm emits an audible alarm when the motion detector detects motion. A second alarm is removably coupled to an associated one of the sockets such that the second alarm is in electrical communication with the associated socket. The second alarm records video footage when the motion detector detects motion.

Deodorant compositions are disclosed comprising a cross-adapting agent, alone or in combination with other such agents, in an amount effective to reduce perception of malodor. Deodorant compositions are also disclosed comprising a cross-adapting agent, alone or in combination with other such agents, in an amount effective to reduce perception of gender-specific malodor. The methods feature reducing perceived body odor comprising administering a deodorant composition wherein the composition comprises an amount of cross-adapting agent effective to reduce perception of such odor. Other methods feature blocking perceived body odor comprising administering a deodorant composition wherein the composition comprises an amount of cross-adapting agent effective to occupy an odorant receptor site, thereby blocking interaction of the site with other odorants. Methods of making deodorant compositions are also provided wherein a cross-adapting agent, alone or in combination with other such agents, are included in an amount effective to reduce perception of malodor.

Olfactory adaptation and cross-adapting agents to reduce the perception of body odors

The present invention refers to a cosmetic composition which, in particular, enables the perfume component resist wash off by water and sweat and to remain fixed on the skin for a long time watertightly. The cosmetic composition comprises fragrance and a fragrance-fixing complex consisting of 0.01-10% by weight of a hydrophobic, alcohol-soluble, carboxylated acrylates/octylacrylamide copolymer and 0.01-10% by weight of a hydrolyzed jojoba ester. Further the complex is able to significantly reduce the total amount of fragrances while giving the same scent feeling to the consumer.

The present invention provides a colouring pre-mix for use in colouring of a cosmetic composition and a coloured cosmetic composition including the same, wherein the colouring pre-mix includes 45-80 wt-% benzyl benzoate; 20-49 wt-% dipropylene glycol; 0.00001-5 wt-% colouring plant extracts; and optionally 0.00001-5 wt-% colorants; with the provision that the content of benzyl benzoate exceeds the content of dipropylene glycol, wherein all data given in wt-% refer to the total weight of the colouring pre-mix.

The present invention relates to personal treatment compositions, which contain encapsulated perfume compositions, which release a burst of fragrance a period of time after initial topical application. According to the present invention, the burst of fragrance is released with the application of mechanical pressure on the encapsulated perfume composition. Further, the present invention relates to hair and skin compositions, which release a burst of fragrance a period of time after initial topical application by rubbing the skin or brushing the hair.

This invention relates to a controlled release encapsulated dry powder that is formed by an emulsion comprising: A) a fully hydrolyzed polymer, B) a hydrophobic silica, C) a modified corn starch, and D) at least one fragrance oil, which is emulsified in water and spray dried to evaporate the water obtaining the encapsulated dry powder. This invention also relates to a process for the preparation of a controlled release encapsulated dry powder that is formed by an emulsion, which is spray dried. The controlled release encapsulated dry powder is used in deodorant and antiperspirant applications.

Described are controlled, time-release microparticulate active and bioactive compositions (including perfuming compositions) for targeted delivery to surfaces such as skin, hair and fabric and the environment proximate thereto, where the active and bioactive materials have a calculated log.sub.10 P values of between 1 and 8 (P being the n-octanol-water partition coefficient). Such compositions include the active or bioactive material in single phase, solid solution in a wax or polymer matrix also having coated thereon and/or containing a compatible surfactant. Also described are processes and apparatus for preparing such compositions and processes for using same. Furthermore, certain component(s) of the aforementioned compositions in combination with one another are novel, and other components have novel uses in increasing fragrance substantivity, particularly in hair care preparations such as hair gels and shampoos.
