A method of laundering fabric materials in a washing machine includes the steps of providing a non-particulate detergent product comprising a mixture of spray-dried detergent and an agglomeration detergent comprising a perborate component, and a flow aid; providing a flexible porous bag for receiving the non-particulate detergent product; placing the non-particulate detergent product within the flexible porous bag containing the detergent product in the washing machine with the fabric materials to be washed.

Method of laundering fabrics

A process for producing a non-particulate laundry detergent comprises the steps of providing a powdered porous carrier material, adsorbing a perfume onto the powdered porous carrier material, and depositing the powdered porous carrier material having adsorbed perfume on the non-particulate detergent product. In another aspect of the invention, a process for producing a non-particulate detergent product having a perfume loaded carrier material coating includes the step of providing a non-particulate detergent composition having an electrically conductive surface. The process further includes grounding the electrically conductive surface of the non-particulate detergent composition. Still further, the process includes providing an electrostatically chargeable carrier material having a perfume adsorbed therein. Finally, the process includes coating the electrostatically chargeable carrier material onto the electrically conductive surface of the non-particulate detergent composition by means of an electrostatic charging and delivery system, whereby the electrostatically charged carrier material is adhered to the electrically conductive surface of the detergent composition.

Process for producing electrostatically coated non-particulate detergent product

A process for producing a water-dispersible non-particulate detergent product includes the step of providing a particulate detergent composition. The process further includes the step of adding a flow aid to the particulate detergent composition in a range of from about 0.1% to about 25% by weight of the particulate detergent composition. The process then includes the step of compacting the particulate detergent composition having the flow aid by applying a pressure in an amount sufficient to form the water-dispersible non-particulate detergent product having a density of at least about 1000 g/l. This process enables the manufacture of a rapidly dispersing non-particulate detergent composition that sinks in water.

Process for making non-particulate detergent product readily dispersible in water

A detergent tablet which contains a bleach activator is disclosed. The bleach activator is in particulate form and has a particle size in a range of from about 100 microns to about 4000 microns. The bleach activator is present in a range of from about 0.1% to about 15% by weight of the detergent tablet.
