A pressure switch including a pressure chamber and a moving disc. The moving disc is moveable in response to a pressure in the pressure chamber to cause contact between a moveable contact and a fixed contact. An orifice communicates a fluid pressure into the pressure chamber. The orifice provides a tortuous path for a fluid flow to reach the pressure chamber. An oil supply system and a generator are also disclosed.

A bearing system may have an inner race coupled to an outer race defining a lubrication volume and a shield coupled to the outer race, the shield at least partially defining an aperture of the lubrication volume. The aperture may permit the flow of lubricating oil through the bearing system. The shield may retain a quantity of oil within the bearing system. The bearing system may be operated without an oil supply, for example, during an emergency, and the retained quantity of oil may provide ongoing lubrication.

An example gear arrangement includes a gearbox shaft and a journal shaft. The journal shaft establishes an opening that receives an end portion of the gearbox shaft. The gearbox shaft is configured to rotate the journal shaft. The journal shaft is configured to selectively rotatably couple with another shaft. The journal shaft is allowed to align to the bearing surface while the gearbox shaft allows for misalignment between the accessory and gearbox drive.

Gear arrangement

A spring actuated guide system for a top driven drilling machine. Rollers for guiding the drilling machine are mounted onto springs which urge the rollers into contact with support surfaces on parallel tracks within a derrick. If the tracks become misaligned, the springs allow for the misalignment with low roller loads thereby providing limited rotational movement of the drilling machine relative to the tracks. Premature failure of the roller bearings is prevented and wear on the rollers and tracks is reduced.
