During the installation of a catenary cable of a catenary of a track, the catenary cable is pulled from a storage drum, on which it is wound, and guided over winch wheels of a friction winch while being held under tension. From there, the catenary cable is passed onto a mounting roller with a pull-off resistance producing an installation tension. The pull-off resistance is created by the friction winch and counteracts a pull-off force of the catenary cable. Between the winch wheels of the friction winch, the cable tension is gradually increased up to the pull-off resistance.

Method and machine for installing a catenary cable

A machine for installing a catenary cable of an electrical catenary of a track includes a machine frame, supported for mobility on the track by undercarriages, and a storage drum containing the rolled-up catenary cable which is pulled off the storage drum during installation with a pull-off force, the storage drum being mounted on an auxiliary frame. A vertically adjustable deflection roller is provided for guiding the catenary cable during installation. A friction winch serves for creating a pull-off resistance counteracting the pull-off force when the catenary cable is pulled off the storage drum during installation, thus producing an installation tension. The friction winch is arranged between the storage drum and the deflection roller and is mounted on a winch frame which is connected to the auxiliary frame. A force sensor for measuring the installation tension is positioned between the winch frame and the auxiliary frame in order to keep the desired installation tension stable.

Machine for installing a catenary cable

A rail welding device arranged for mobility along a track direction for effectuating the electric resistance welding of two track rails, comprising a control unit, and two halves of the device movable in the track direction, each half of the device being aligned with a respective one of the track rails and comprising a pair of clamping jaws pivotal towards and away from each other in a plane extending transversely to the track direction. Hydraulic cylinders move the two halves of the device in the track direction, and further hydraulic cylinders pivot the clamping jaws of each half away from each other between a set-up position in which the rail heads of the track rails may freely pass between the clamping jaws and a welding position in which the clamping jaws engage the rail webs. A sensing device detects the welding position at the end of the pivoting motion of the clamping jaws and sends control signals required to effectuate the electric resistance welding to the control unit.

A machine for laying a catenary cable or a contact wire of an overhead line extending above a track comprises a machine frame supported on undercarriages for mobility along the track, a storage drum mounted on the machine frame and carrying a reel of the catenary cable or contact wire to be paid out from the storage drum, and a guiding device for the paid-out catenary cable or contact wire. The guiding device is pivotable about a horizontal axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine frame and comprises a supporting mast having a longitudinal axis, a guide roller mounted to the supporting mast and arranged to be engaged by the paid-out catenary cable or contact wire, a drive for vertically adjusting the guide roller, and a drive for pivoting the guiding device about the horizontal axis. The guide roller is designed for adjustment relative to the supporting mast in a direction extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis thereof and transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine frame, and a drive is provided for transversely adjusting the guide roller relative to the supporting mast.

Machine for laying an overhead line of a track

A machine for laying a catenary cable or a trolley wire of an overhead line extending above a track comprises a machine frame supported on undercarriages for mobility along the track, a storage drum mounted on the machine frame and carrying a reel of the catenary cable or trolley wire to be paid out from the storage drum, a guide device for the paid-out catenary cable or trolley wire comprising a guide roller arranged to be engaged by the paid-out catenary cable or trolley wire and a drive for vertically adjusting the guide device. The guide device is pivotal about a horizontal axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine frame, and a drive is arranged for pivoting the guide device about the horizontal axis.

A track-bound work car includes a machine frame supported on undercarriages for mobility in an operating direction on a track and carrying a body structure with an operator's cab. A vertically adjustable main working platform is mounted to a jib which is secured to the machine frame, and a second working platform is detachably fixed via suitable fasteners to the body structure. An apparatus for tensioning or longitudinally sliding a rail of a laid track to reduce a gap between adjacent ends of longitudinally successive rail sections to be welded together to form the rail, the fastening elements of the longitudinally successive rail sections having been loosened, which comprises a closed, ring-shaped mechanical structural unit including two longitudinally spaced pairs of rail clamping jaws and two transversely spaced hydraulic cylinder-piston devices connecting the pairs of rail clamping jaws and operating the same.
