The invention relates to a method for producing an electrochemical cell comprising at least one porous electrode ('), the method comprising at least the following method steps: (a) providing an electrode composition in the form of a homogeneous mixture comprising (i) at least one particulate active material (); (ii) at least one particulate binder (); (iii) at least one particulate pore-forming agent (); and (iv) optionally at least one conducting additive (); (b) forming a mouldable mass from the electrode composition; (c) applying the electrode composition to at least one surface of a substrate () to obtain a compact electrode (); (d) producing an electrochemical cell comprising at least one compact electrode () which comprises the electrode composition according to method step (a); and (e) heating the at least one compact electrode () to liquefy the at least one particulate pore-forming agent (); and/or (f) bringing the compact electrode () into contact with at least one liquid electrolyte composition or at least one liquid constituent of an electrolyte composition for an electrochemical cell which is capable of at least partially dissolving the at least one particulate pore-forming agent () to obtain a porous electrode (), wherein method steps (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) are carried out substantially without solvents.

Method for producing porous electrodes for electrochemical cells

The invention relates to a method for producing an electrode (E) for an electrochemical cell, in particular for a lithium cell. In order to produce a homogeneous mixture allowing the time-saving, cost-effective production, for example by dry coating, of an electrode (E) with improved properties and/or with a layer thickness significantly greater than 100 &#x3bc;m, for example for vehicle batteries, in particular for electric and/or hybrid vehicles, in said method at least one binder (B) and at least one particulate fibrillation auxiliary agent (F) are mixed in a mixing process with a high shear load, the at least one binder (B) being fibrillated (fB), and at least one electrode component (E) is then added to the at least one fibrillated binder (B) in a mixing process with a low shear load. The invention also relates to an electrode (E) produced in this manner and to an electrochemical cell equipped with an electrode (E) of this type.

An electrode that includes at least one current collector having a flat configuration and to which at least one arrester is attached, and at least one active material foil. The at least one active material foil is situated on a first surface of the current collector, and protrudes beyond the current collector on all sides along its edges to form an overhang of the active material foil past the outer boundary of the current collector on all sides.

Lithium electrode for a lithium-ion battery and method for producing the same

A lithium cell is described having a cathode structure made of a base material which conducts electrons and Li ions. The cathode structure includes a continuous substrate, which provides a continuous base area, starting from which a plurality of crosspieces extends.
