A fuel injector for a combustor of a gas turbine engine is disclosed herein. In embodiments, the fuel injector includes an injector head adjoining a stem. The injector head includes a main premix passage, a main air inlet, vanes, and a main premix resonator. The main premix passage extends through the injector head and the main air inlet directs compressed air into the main premix passage. The vanes are located within the main premix passage for swirling the compressed air. The main premix resonator is located adjacent to and downstream of the vanes.

An apparatus for measuring temperature parameters of a structure is provided. The apparatus comprises: a carrier including at least one receiving portion; and a plurality of temperature sensors disposed within the at least one receiving portion and secured to the receiving portion via a bonding medium, the sensors being distributed along at least one direction of the carrier and configured to measure and record temperature information through microstructural changes corresponding to temperatures experienced by the respective sensors.

A method for modifying a gas turbine injector is disclosed herein. The method for modifying a gas turbine injector includes removing a first tubular member from the gas turbine injector, replacing the first tubular member with a second tubular member, the second tubular member having a center axis and including a circumferential lip extending radially from the center axis, aiming a laser beam at the circumferential lip so that the laser beam forms an acute angle with the center axis, and, laser welding the second tubular member to the gas turbine injector at the acute angle, the laser welding forming a resultant weld between the second tubular member and the gas turbine injector, and such that at least a portion of the circumferential lip is consumed to form at least a portion of the resultant weld.

Methods for manufacturing, modifying, and retrofitting a gas turbine injector

An exhaust treatment system is provided. The system may include a particulate trap configured to remove one or more types of particulate matter from an exhaust flow, the exhaust flow including at least a portion of a totality of exhaust gases produced by an engine. The system may further include a burner assembly configured to increase a temperature of gases in the exhaust flow at a location upstream from the particulate trap. The burner assembly may include an exhaust inlet oriented in a direction along a first axis and configured to direct the exhaust flow into the burner assembly and an exhaust outlet oriented in a direction along a second axis at an angle relative to the first axis, the exhaust outlet being configured to direct the exhaust flow out of the burner assembly toward the particulate trap.
