A disc assembly for a disc brake and energizing ring, or flywheel includes a disc brake disc, a braking band, a bell connecting the brake disc to a vehicle hub; and a connecting portion between the braking band and the bell. An energizing ring includes an energizing ring body having an energizing side, opposite the disc, and coupling side, facing the disc. An energizing ring connecting portion connects cantilevered to the bell to avoid interfering with the braking band and forms an end surface parallel to the radial direction. Projections and/or recesses are provided in the energizing side. A coupling portion cantilevers from the energizing ring body axially and includes a free end portion. The free end portion is received in the energizing ring connecting portion passing through the radial end surface. The energizing ring connecting portion closely surrounds the free end portion, leaving the energizing ring body free.

A ventilated brake disc is provided which comprises a braking band defined by two plates co-axial with facing surfaces from which connection elements are axially extended. Each connection element has two respective ends at which the element is joined to the plates. Several of the connection elements are associated to elongate crests which extend from their ends in one or more given directions. The elongate crests are integrally formed with the connection elements and plates, and are raised from the facing surfaces of the plates.

A disc for a disc brake of the ventilated type comprising a braking band () defined by two plates (), which are co-axial to an axis, which are mutually facing and spaced to provide an interspace. The plates have facing surfaces () from which elements () for the connection of the same plates transversally extend. The rhombic cross-sections of the pillar-like elements which are in inside rows of the band are symmetrical with respect to an axis transverse the direction of flow and each element for connection between the plates extends from one plate to the other whilst remaining within the space.

A braking band for a disk-brake disk which is capable of exceptionally quiet braking comprises at least two plates connected to one another by connecting elements, in which the space between the plates forms an internal air-duct for the cooling of the braking band. At least one of the plates has, in one of its surfaces defining the air-ducts, at least one groove which extends along at least a portion of an orbit around the axis of symmetry of the disk and the cross-section of which becomes wider towards the air-duct.

The invention relates to a method and tools for producing a braking band () of a disk-brake disk () by casting, in which the disk comprises at least two plates (') connected to one another by connecting elements () forming an internal air-duct () for the cooling of the braking band (). With the method and the tools, a disk is produced in which at least one of the plates (&#x2032;) has, in its surface (&#x2032;) defining the air-ducts (), at least one groove (&#x2032;) having a cross-section which becomes wider towards the air-duct.
