A slave-type interface circuit which can receive signals from a bus if the coding A.sub.0, A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 of its inputs S.sub.0, S.sub.1 and S.sub.2 corresponds to that mode of operation. The signals from the bus are then delivered to the inputs L.sub.1 and L.sub.2. With another mode of operation the coding of inputs S.sub.0, S.sub.1 and S.sub.2 corresponds to off-line operation on the basis of logic levels applied to the same inputs L.sub.1 and L.sub.2. A branching block (SBL) directs the signals from the inputs L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 either to a bus receiver RBUS or directly to a decoder CDEC controlling a group of switches (COM). In the case of operation with a bus, the bus receiver (RBUS) controls the logic for the progress for operations.

Slave-type interface circuit

A slave-type interface circuit operating with a series bus in a configuration in which writing takes place after recognition of an address. A cycle transmitted by the bus contains an address sequence and a data sequence. The circuit controls a plurality of user circuits (COM) on the basis of data stored in a memory (M) and of a decoder (CDEC). A register (REG) and a bus logic (BUSL) receive at their inputs (L.sub.1, L.sub.2) information (SDA) and clock (SCL) signals. The bus logic (BUSL) receives from an identification circuit (AIC) a signal (DVA) indicating whether or not the address transmitted by the bus corresponds to an address A.sub.0, A.sub.1, A.sub.2 displayed at the inputs S.sub.0, S.sub.1 and S.sub.2. It controls the circuit on the basis of the register (REG) initialization signal (RST1), a signal LDS) for the authorization of the loading of data into the memory (M) and an acceptance signal (ACK) transmitted in the direction of the bus.

Slave-type interface circuit operating with a series bus

A power supply and scanning line deflection circuit for a picture display device. The power supply circuit comprises an inductance and a switch which switches at line frequency, the inductance forming part of a resonant network during the cut-off period of the switch. The line deflection circuit comprises another switch which also switches at line frequency and a line deflection coil which during the cut-off period of the switch, which substantially coincides with the retrace period, forms part of a resonant network which also comprises an inductance. A transformer winding is coupled to one of the inductances. During the cut-off period of the switch pulses are developed across this transformer winding which are rectified for generating a supply voltage for a variable load. To reduce the internal impedance of the voltage source thus formed, which may serve, for example as the high voltage supply, means are provided for connecting, at least during a portion of the scanning line retrace period, the transformer winding to the other inductance, such connection conducting substantially no current during the scanning line trace period.

Picture display device comprising a power supply circuit and a line

A circuit arrangement for a picture display device for generating a sawtooth line deflection current. The arrangement comprises a power supply transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding. One end of the primary winding is connected to a terminal of a supply voltage source and the other end to a controllable supply switch whose other side is connected to the other terminal of the source. The secondary winding is connected in series with a line deflection coil, a trace capacitor, and a deflection switch. A retrace capacitor is connected to the line deflection coil. During the retrace period the line deflection coil, the trace and the retrace capacitors are part of a resonant network the elements of which determine the duration of the retrace period. The secondary winding of the power supply transformer, the line deflection coil, the trace capacitor and the deflection switch are part of a loop to which a trace rectifier and an inductance, whose other end is connected to a voltage terminal, are connected, while a primary capacitor is coupled to the primary winding for partly determining the retrace period.

A circuit for producing a periodic parabolic signal by means of squaring a sawtooth-shaped signal, for example for controlling an east-west modulator in color television receivers, a parabolic disturbance occurring during the retrace period being reduced by means of a transistor amplifier operating as an emitter follower during the trace period and as a switch during the retrace period.

Circuit for producing a periodic parabolic signal

A circuit in a color television receiver for generating a correction current of field frequency for a quadripolar winding which is positioned on the core of the deflection coil. The circuit is in series with the deflection coil and constitutes a bridge circuit with diodes and resistors. A resistor is included in one diagonal branch and the winding in the other.
