The invention relates to a non-crosslinked natural rubber latex composition for an inflatable stopper comprising a homogeneous mixture of: a) natural rubber latex; b) a surfactant; c) an amine based chemical antiozonant; d) possibly ammonia and preferably e) single or double wall electrically conductive nanotubes. The invention furthermore relates to an ozone resistant inflatable stopper comprising non-crosslinked natural rubber latex and fiber reinforcement, the rubber having an ozone resistance according to ISO 1431/1 at 50 pphm concentration ozone at 23&#xb1;2&#xb0; C., for the time frame of 48 hours, atmospheric humidity of 55% and strain static exposure of 20% and preferably a surface resistivity lower than 100 G&#x3a9; according to DIN EN 60079-32-2 and DVGW G 5621-3 (VP) measured at 1000 V and a maximum relative humidity of 30%.

Inflatable stopper

The present invention provides a metal pipe coated on at least a section of the metal pipe with a polyolefin coating system, wherein the system consists of the following layers: (a) optionally, a corrosion protective layer of a chromate, phosphate or other salt; (b) a polyolefin based adhesive, preferably in a thickness of 0.3-5 mm; (c) a PE or PP coating layer, preferably in a thickness of 1-10 mm; (d) optionally, an adhesion promoting layer between the polyolefin based adhesive and a PE or PP layer; wherein the polyolefin based adhesive contains an organic phase consisting of substantially saturated hydrocarbons, and wherein the adhesive contains amorphous polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymers or poly(iso)butylene (co)polymers, said adhesive being flowable when a pressure of 10 kgf/cmis applied, wherein the PE or PP coating is a continuous layer over the coated section, and wherein said polyolefin based adhesive adheres to both the metal pipe and to said PE or PP coating.

Metal pipes with anticorrosive polyolefin covering layer

A flow stopping tool for pipelines is disclosed, wherein the flow stopping tool comprises an inflatable balloon-like element that is in connection to a pressure rod. A hose is used for inflating the balloon-like element with a gas or a fluid, such that the balloon-like element can block a flow in a pipeline. A first end of the hose is in connection to the pressure rod and a second end of the hose is in connection to the balloon-like element. A part connecting the hose with the inflatable balloon-like element, but outside said balloon-like element, comprises a shock absorber for securing the hose-balloon connection.

Flow stopping tool for pipelines

A flow stopping tool for pipelines is disclosed, wherein the flow stopping tool comprises an inflatable balloon-like element that is in connection to a pressure rod, and a hinged coupling for securing the balloon-like element upon introduction into the pipeline, the hinged coupling comprising: a first element comprising a housing, a second element that is in connection to the balloon-like element; a buckling member connecting the first element to the second element, the buckling member being received in the housing of the first element. The buckling member comprises a cylinder that is configured to rotate around its longitudinal axis such that the second element can hinge with respect to the first element. The cylinder comprises at least one opening that facilitates measurement of the pressure of the flow in the pipeline, and the cylinder comprises at least one further opening that facilitates inflation of the balloon-like element.

An adhesive compound consisting essentially of an organic phase and inorganic phase, the organic phase comprising an amorphous aliphatic (co)polymer having a Ring & Ball softening point of between 75 and 180&#xb0; C., and a second aliphatic material having a Tg of about &#x2212;5&#xb0; C. or lower and a kinematic viscosity of 4500 mm/s at 100&#xb0; C. or less, wherein said organic components are present in weight amounts of between 95/5 and 10/90; the inorganic phase comprising a filler, the filler being present in amount of at least about 15 wt % in the total composition. The compositions are suitable for anti-corrosion coatings or sealants against filtration or penetration of water or moisture. A rubber material may be added to this compound or other anti-corrosion coatings to increase the yield point at high temperatures.

Adhesive compound

The present invention relates to an adhesive compound consisting essentially of an organic phase and inorganic phase, the organic phase comprising an amorphous aliphatic (co)polymer having a Ring & Ball softening point of between 75 and 180&#xb0; C., and a second aliphatic material having a Tg of about &#x2212;5&#xb0; C. or lower and a kinematic viscosity of 4500 mm/s at 100&#xb0; C. or less, wherein said organic components are present in weight amounts of between 95/5 and 10/90; the inorganic phase comprising a filler, the filler being present in amount of at least about 15 wt % in the total composition.
