Dry electrographic toner compositions are provided comprising a plurality of dry toner particles, wherein the toner particles comprise polymeric binder comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions. The dry electrographic toner composition comprises a wax associated with the dry toner particles, wherein substantially all of the wax is associated with the toner particle at the surface thereof. Methods of making electrographic toner compositions are also provided comprising preparing polymeric binder particles comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions, preparing toner particles, drying the toner particles, and milling the dry toner particles in the presence of a wax component to provide a dry toner particle composition having the wax associated with the toner particles. These toner compositions provide images having excellent durability and erasure resistance properties at low fusion temperatures and with little undesired offset.

An electrophotographic imaging apparatus having a first toner accepting layer and an intermediate transfer member. The first toner accepting layer is positioned in electrical contact with a) a charge provider, b) an irradiation source that activates photoconductivity in the first toner accepting layer, and b) at least one toner applicator, so that a first toner image can be formed on the first toner accepting layer. The first toner layer is movable, after interaction with a), b) and c), into contact with the intermediate transfer layer from which the first toner image can be transferred to an image bearing member. Liquid electrographic toner compositions are provided comprising a liquid carrier having a Kauri-Butanol number less than about 30 mL and a plurality of toner particles dispersed in the liquid carrier. The toner particles comprise polymeric binder and a pigment comprising a first ionic dye component ionically complexed with a second ionic dye component in a predetermined ratio to form an ionically complexed colorant compound exhibiting a predetermined color. The colorant compound has a molecular weight of less than about 5000 Daltons and is substantially free of metals that are not covalently bonded to the colorant compound. Toners comprising pigments comprising a ionic dye component and a second ionic dye component complexed to form ionically complexed compounds that together in a colorant composition exhibit a predetermined color are also provided. Methods of making and using these toners are disclosed.

Liquid toners comprising organic pigments and methods

Amphipathic copolymers are provided comprising one or more S portions and one or more D portions. The copolymers have a chromophore covalently bonded thereto via a urethane, urea or amide linkage. These copolymers provide exceptionally useful components in toner compositions, because they provide easily prepared color-imparting particles that provide excellent color rendition.

A no-process printing plate forming photosensitive article having a protective top coat layer is described. The top coat layer may be a water soluble or dispersible polymer, sol, salt, or mixture thereof. The protective top coat layer may provide the no-process printing plate with protection from contamination during handling, improved suppression of odors during imaging, and improved roll-up performance on press. The hydrophilic protective top coat is removed on press by action of the fountain solution and/or ink.
