An article support for a surface, the support including a base having a first end portion and a second end portion, the base first end portion is adjacent to the surface. A reservoir is disposed within the second end portion, the reservoir having a terminating margin periphery forming an aperture. An omni-directional substantially planar extension originating at the margin periphery and outwardly terminating in an outer perimeter, the planar extension has a segmented primary surface and a secondary surface wherein the secondary surface faces the first end portion. A portion of the primary surface is formed from an inverted equilateral square pyramid wherein an apex of the pyramid is disposed within the aperture. Operationally, the article is placed upon the primary surface, the article having a plurality of point contacts upon the primary surface causing the article to clear the margin periphery for drainage from the article into the reservoir.

Article support

Apparatus for feeding poorly flowable dry particulate materials includes a rotary supply hopper having an interior chamber for receiving and containing a quantity of material and an annular sidewall open at a lower edge, a stationary platform having a circular groove formed in a top surface of the platform encircling an upright central axis and an opening extending through the platform adjacent to the circular groove, spaced from the central axis and defined between the circular groove and central axis, a support structure supporting the hopper above the platform to undergo rotation relative to the platform about the upright central axis with the lower edge of the supply hopper being spaced from and extending downward into the circular groove of the platform such that the platform serves as a stationary bottom for the rotary supply hopper, and an annular discharge spout attached at an open upper end to the platform below and encircling the opening through the platform and having a transfer passage extending from the open upper end to an open lower end so that material can undergo gravity-assisted flow downward through the platform opening and discharge spout passage for discharge at the open lower end of the discharge spout. The apparatus also includes a stripper blade rotatably mounted to the discharge spout and extending radially inward across the open lower end thereof for engaging discharging material to assist its movement away from the open lower end of the discharge spout.

Apparatus for feeding poorly flowable dry particulate materials

A tennis score keeper and display device includes an elongated support pole, a pair of attachment brackets mounted at locations spaced from one another along the support pole and being adapted to secure the support pole to and alongside a tennis net support post, and a score display mast mounted to an upper end of the support pole. The mast has a pair of opposite vertical end portions and a pair of opposite vertical side portions extending between and interconnecting the opposite end portions. A row of vertically spaced numbers are defined on each of the opposite vertical side portions of the score display mast. A row of vertically spaced pockets are defined on each of the opposite vertical end portions of the score display mast. The pockets in one row thereof on one opposite vertical end portion of the mast are horizontally aligned with the pockets in the other row thereof on the other opposite vertical end portion and are horizontally aligned with the numbers in the rows thereof on the opposite vertical side portions of the mast. Each pocket is recessed into a respective one of the vertical end portions and has opposite open sides and an open end to receive and hold a tennis ball therein to serve as a marker of one of the vertically spaced numbers to indicate a score corresponding to the one number. The open sides and end of each pocket permits the tennis ball to be visible within a viewing angle including substantially the opposite vertical side portion and one opposite vertical end portion of the mast.

Tennis score keeper and display device

A stock or cattle prod for applying an electric shock to stock to induce them to move when loading them for transportation or through a cattle chute or the like comprises a handle having a high voltage generator and a battery therein. A head, which is angularly rotatable relative to the handle structure, is provided, this head having electrical contact means adapted to electrically, conductively contact said handle in any selectable angular position therebetween the head being adapted to extend forward from said handle and comprising a shaft carrying the contact means and, forward from this shaft terminating in a pair of spaced conducting tips or electrodes. The handle is constructed to insulate and protect the high voltage conductors and to provide a convenient switch for energizing the tips. The handle and shaft are constructed to afford rotation of the tips to any desired angle with respect to the operator's hand, both the handle and head being provided with external electrical insulation means effective to protect the operator from the electrical shock voltage, insulation while maintaining the electrical connections to the tips. The head on which the tips are mounted is relatively flat and is adapted to be held in face engagement with an animal's body, this facilitating the effective handling of the prod during use.

Electric stock prod

A liquid metering dispenser is actuated by a trigger. The trigger releases a valve rod which is spring actuated to close a fluid pressure inlet, opening the discharge outlet of the dispenser to release a stored measured charge of liquid by operation of a spring actuated piston. The trigger is cocked by drawing the valve rod to close the discharge valve and open the liquid pressure inlet; the liquid under pressure enters the storage chamber, compressing the piston spring until it strikes an adjustable stop. The piston and spring assembly is readily removable for cleaning and servicing.

Liquid dispenser of the metering type

A releasable locking ring has a full circular portion defined by a split, coiled ring having a free, tapered overlapping end and an opposite end bent into a generally semi-circular bail portion curving substantially in a plane normal, or slightly less than normal, to that of the ring; and the bail terminates in a curved return at its free extremity adjacent to the ring.

Lock ring for shackle pins and the like

An adapter for attaching and sealing a liquid supply reservoir on a liquid dispenser of the metering type comprises a reservoir receiving body and a detachable element for securing the body to a dispenser with a seal piercing needle in position to receive the contents of the reservoir. A pivoted clamp is provided for clamping the reservoir on the body when the seal has been pierced and holds the reservoir securely to the body during use of the dispenser. A nut secures the detachable element on the dispenser, a spring bias being provided to afford adjustment of the element with respect to the nut. A check valve is provided to prevent return of liquid to the reservoir and facilitates the use of collapsible supply reservoirs.
