An apparatus for a circuit assembly, including two plates which are adapted to hold a circuit assembly, connected by a hinge, and including a hold-down adapted to interlock the circuit assembly to a plate, and a sliding lock adapted to secure the plates. Examples of the present subject matter include embodiments wherein the sliding lock secures the first plate and second plate in a first mode of operation, and releases the first plate in a second mode of operation, and wherein the hold-down interlocks the circuit assembly to the first plate in a first state of operation, and interlocks the circuit assembly to the second plate in a second state of operation. Further, the present subject matter includes a method for using a circuit carrier to hold a circuit assembly.

Method and apparatus for carrying circuit assemblies

An implantable medical electronic tissue stimulating device is formed of two hermetically sealed, fluid impervious housings, one containing an electronic pulse generator and the other a battery power supply. The two are adapted to be mechanically and electrically coupled together through a coupler/connector whereby current from the battery in one sealed housing is fed to the electronic pulse generator in the other sealed housing.

An implantable electronic tissue stimulating device for providing therapy to a patient is contained within an full metallic case resulting in reduced size, reduced assembly time, reduced parts cost and reduced labor cost, limits the exposure of the patient to possible allergic reactions to medical adhesives and polyurethanes. A hybrid electronic circuit and a battery for powering same are contained within a first portion of the full metal case and a header assembly including a metal header housing, a connector block holder, its lead connector blocks and a feed-through assembly also form a sealed unit. It is inserted into a second portion of the case with feed-through pins connecting the connector blocks to the hybrid. A weld is employed to join the two halves of the outer case together about its perimeter to form a stimulating device package of a smaller size and reduced manufacturing costs.

Implantable medical device with full metallic case

A system for interlocking a plurality of modules, such as medical instrument modules (e.g., infusion pumps), in side-by-side relationship such that not more than one module can be mounted on each side of a center module. The modules are interchangeable in that any module of the system can be a center module or a side module. In the preferred embodiment, latching arms on a module are automatically moved as the module is mounted on a pole stand to allow other 'side' modules to be mounted on that 'center' module. The latching arms of the 'side' modules prevent additional modules from being mounted on the side modules. Other embodiments are described as well.
