Methods and kits are provided to treat scapho-lunate ligament tears, which involve stabilization of the scaphoid and lunate both dorsally and volarly. The treatments can be performed through open, mini-open or arthroscopic procedures, as an intra-capsular or extra-capsular repair and stabilization procedure. The treatment procedures involve the use of sutures or wires to fix the relative orientations of the scaphoid and lunate, and the optional use of bone anchors or other bone attachment devices to create a capsulodesis between the lunate and scaphoid, or other bones, to lift the scaphoid into the desired position. Localization of the entry point of the sutures or wires into the bones are used to improve positioning of the bone anchors, sutures and wires.

Scapho-lunate and other ligament and bone repair/reconstruction

An apparatus and method for the repair of disruptions between bones. The apparatus defines a combination of sleeves, strands and crimps are provided to secure the bones, using a dual sided drill guide to prepare the bones for installation of the apparatus, which is adjusted upon installation to suit the appropriate alignment and tension of the apparatus. The method includes the preparation of the bones, the installation of the apparatus and the adjustment of the apparatus to properly align and tension the apparatus for repair of the bone.

Apparatus and method for repair of disruptions between bones

A method and apparatus for reattaching the opposed ends of a member, such as a tendon, ligament or bone, during preparing and healing of the member using a surgical repair device that can be securely attached to the member and then safely guided through tortuous anatomy for reattachment and repair. The repair device further includes structural means so as to secure opposed ends of the member against separation during healing. Devices for aiding in the positioning of the surgical repair device are provided.

Method and apparatus for repairing a tendon or ligament

A surgical repair splint (21,41,61,81,121) for use with a securement device such as a plurality of sutures (31,51,71,91,131) to hold together opposed ends of a member, such as a tendon or ligament (24,64,84,124), during preparing and healing of the member. The repair splint (21,121) has an elongated splint body, which can be flexible and which can either be pushed or pulled into the opposite ends (22,23,122,123) of the member to be repaired, or placed along a side of the opposed ends. The repair splint further includes securement structures or oppositely facing shoulders (32,33,132,133) on relatively rigid pointed splint ends (26,27,126,127) which are formed to receive and cooperate with a securement device, such as sutures (31,131), so as to secure the opposite tendon or ligament ends to the splint against separation of the opposed faces (28,29,128,129) which are to be knit together during healing. A method of surgical repair of ruptured or severed tendon or ligament ends is also provided.

Splint with flexible body for repair of tendons or ligaments and method

A surgical repair splint (21,41,61,81) for use with a securement device such as a plurality of sutures (31,51,71,91) to hold together opposed ends of a member, such as a tendon or ligament, during preparing and healing of the member. The repair splint (21) has an elongated splint body which can either be urged into the opposite ends (22,23) of the member (21) to be repaired or placed along a side of the opposed ends (22,23). The repair splint (21) body further includes securement structures (32,32a,33,33a) proximate splint ends (26,27) which are formed to receive and cooperate with a securement device, such as sutures (31), so as to secure the opposite tendon or ligament ends (22,23) to the splint body against separation of the opposed faces (28,29) which are to be knit together during healing. A method of surgical repair of ruptured or severed tendon or ligament ends is also provided.

Splint for repair of tendons or ligaments and method

Apparatus is disclosed for preventing the buildup of excessive water pressure underneath a water tank, tub or spa which is placed in the ground while at the same time preventing the inflow of waste particles or the outflow of water from the tank, tub or spa. The apparatus includes a pressure sensitive relief valve in combination with a multiple stage filtering system. The filtering system includes a central collection tube wrapped with filter material, around which filtering particles are packed, all of which are enclosed in a filter cage. The valve unit is positioned such that it draws only from the collection tube. Means are provided for securing the assembly to the underside of the water tank.
