Techniques to provide mobile access to content are disclosed. A request from a mobile application running on a mobile device to access content is received at a connector node. A user credential associated with the request is used to identify at the connector node a policy associated with the request. A policy metadata associated with the policy is provided from the connector node to the mobile application running on the mobile device. The mobile application may include application code that is responsive to the policy metadata to perform, with respect to the request to access content, an action indicated by the policy.

A policy to be applied with respect to one or more files included in a synchronization set and/or an endpoint associated with the synchronization set is received. Techniques to perform secure authentication to provide mobile access to shared content are disclosed. In various embodiments, a user credential associated with a request to access content is received at a connector node from a mobile application running on a mobile device. The user credential is used to create at the connector node a secure credential token that includes the user credential. The secure credential token is used to provide to the mobile application on the mobile device, via the connector node, access to content on two or more servers residing on a protected network with which the user credential is associated.

Secure authentication to provide mobile access to shared network resources

A system and method is illustrated for providing secure credential using a secure credential package stored on a client device and at least one key stored in a corporate network. In embodiments, an access connector receives credentials and a device unique identifier from the client device over a secure link, obtain the at least one key from the corporate network, apply the at least one key to the credentials and the device unique identifier to generate the secure credential package including the encrypted credential and the device unique identifier, send the secure credential package to the client device over the secure link, upon receiving the secure credential package from the client device, retrieve the at least one key via the key manager, decrypting the secure credential package using the at least one key to obtain the credentials, and validate the credentials against a user directory located in the corporate network.

System and method to provide secure credential

Techniques to manage files and other stored objects are disclosed. An identification is received of a plurality of files associated with a synchronization set. An identification of a plurality of endpoints associated with the synchronization set is received. Synchronization is maintained across the endpoints with respect to at least a subset of the files included in the plurality of files. In some embodiments, maintaining synchronization across the endpoints includes materializing each file, and updates thereto, at each endpoint at which the file is stored in a manner required by that endpoint while maintaining an awareness of which files or other objects as stored at each endpoint at which files are stored correspond to which files or other objects as stored at other endpoints at which files are stored.

Synchronized file management across multiple disparate endpoints

Techniques to enforce policies with respect to managed files and/or endpoints are disclosed. A policy to be applied with respect to a synchronization set is received at a file management system. Compliance with the policy across a plurality of heterogeneous endpoints associated with the synchronization set is ensured by propagating the policy to the heterogeneous endpoints. Each of the endpoints is configured to enforce at the endpoint policies received from the file management system, including by responding in a manner prescribed by the policy to occurrence of a policy-triggering event defined in the policy.
