A novel sizing-adhesive composition for corrugating characterised in that it comprises at least one low molecular weight, water soluble polymer such as a maltodextrin, corrugating boards prepared therewith and methods of producing them.

Sizing-adhesive composition

Adhesive formulations are blends of aqueous polymer dispersions and a hydrophobic plasticizer. The blended dispersed polymers include at least one hard sulfonated polyester urethane, at least one soft non-sulfonated polyester urethane, and at least one polar non-polyurethane water-based polymer or copolymer. A high molecular weight elastomeric non-sulfonated polyurethane polymer and a crosslinker are optional further components in the blend. The formulations are useful as non-heat activating, one-component adhesives which generate excellent green strength, water and heat resistant bonds.

Bonding method for water-based formulations having enhanced characteristics

The present invention relates to oxygen barrier film structures and a method of using thereof. More particularly, the invention relates to oxygen barrier film structures comprising at least one substrate, a primer layer on at least one surface of the substrate, said primer comprising a mixture of at least one aqueous dispersion of polyurethane (A) and at least one water dispersible crosslinking agent (B); an oxygen and moisture resistant barrier coating onto said primer treated surface of the polymeric substrate; said coating comprising a mixture of at least one aqueous polyvinyl alcohol or its copolymers (C) and at least one crosslinking agent (D). Improved adhesion properties of the barrier coating on substrates such as polyolefin, polyester and polyamide are obtained.
