Systems and methods for carrier phase recovery are provided. One method includes providing a reference signal, detecting an input signal and determining a Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of the input signal. The method also includes employing a Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) algorithm based on the SNR to determine a Carrier Phase Recovery Loop (CPRL) bandwidth.

Systems and methods for carrier phase recovery

A method and apparatus are provided for detecting objects of interest using sounds. Sounds are monitored for using a sensor array. A number of beams are formed. Each beam in the number of beams is formed for a selected direction in which the selected direction for each beam is relative to a line of sight for the sensor array. A presence of a number of objects of interest is identified using the number of beams and the sounds detected by the sensor array.

Audio surveillance system

A method and apparatus for detecting objects. An object detector associated with a platform and configured to detect a number of objects is used to monitor for the number of objects. In response to detecting the number of objects, a number of distances to the number of objects detected by the object detector are measured using a distance measurement system. A number of geographic locations for the number of objects is identified using the number of distances, a location of the platform, and an orientation of the distance measurement system.

Object detection and location system

Technologies are described herein for locating and tracking objects of interest within a field of regard (FOR). Aspects include using a phased array to scan the FOR and receive signals emitted from an object of interest. The object of interest may then be located and tracked by processing the signals emitted from the object of interest.

Beam-scanning system

A method and apparatus for detecting moving vehicles. A determination is made as to whether a number of vehicles are present in a video data stream received from a camera system. In response to the number of vehicles being present, a number of speed measurements for each vehicle in the number of vehicles are obtained from a radar system. A determination is made as to whether a speed of a set of vehicles in the number of vehicles exceeds a threshold. In response to a determination that the speed of the set of vehicles exceeds the threshold, a report is created for the set of the vehicles exceeding the threshold.

Speed detector for moving vehicles

A system and associated method for compensating for thermal deformation of a spaced-based structure having a spacecraft payload. The system including a beacon source coupled to a first spacecraft for transmitting a first signal and a beacon sensor coupled to a second spacecraft for receiving the first signal and providing measurement data derived from the first signal. At least one attitude sensing device is coupled to the second spacecraft for determining estimated spacecraft attitude data for the second spacecraft. A processor on the second spacecraft is configured to process ephemeris data of the first and second spacecraft, beacon measurement data, estimated spacecraft attitude data, and gimbal angular position data to estimate spacecraft structural deformation.
