A geotextile having a soil treatment compound includes a porous sheet having a plurality of spaced nodules of composite material secured to the sheet. The nodules are composed of a soil treating agent and a binder which is injected through the sheet and solidified, such that the sheet is enmeshed by the nodules.

Geotextile having soil treatment compound and method

A hydraulic structure is provided in the form of a flexible, flat, corrugated plastic tube having a relatively oblongated cross-section, with apertures associated with the grooves of the corrugation. The tube is enclosed in a geotextile sheath. The two relatively flat sides or panels of the tube are separated from each other by a plurality of pairs of cuspations, which project inwardly from the panel surface. Cuspations from the opposing panels are secured to one another thereby providing increased structural integrity.

A barrier fabric is provided which is impermeable to liquids and permeable to vapor. A polymer film is laminated to a porous fibrous web. The composite web is then needled repeatedly with fine conical needles to provide micropores through the film.

Barrier fabric and method

A process is provided for making strong, permeable nonwoven fabrics having an abrasion-resistant burnished surface. The process involves providing a lightly consolidated or weakly bonded web of thermoplastic synthetic organic fibers, needle punching the web, heating a surface of the needled web, and burnishing the heated surface with a rotating, smooth-surfaced metal roll, which preferably simultaneously cools the web surface.
