An electronic device is provided that includes a wireless network interface and at least one processor coupled to the wireless network interface. The at least one processor is configured to select a resource unit from a tone plan, notify another electronic device of the selected resource unit via the wireless network interface, and communicate data with the other electronic device using the selected resource unit via the wireless network interface. The tone plan is characterized by a first tone sub-plan comprising a first plurality of resource units having a first size, wherein each resource unit of the first plurality of resource units includes a respective plurality of tones from a contiguous range of tones, and wherein the tones of each respective plurality of tones have a spacing in the contiguous range of tones of an integer multiple of a first factor greater than one.

Distributed tone plan

A wireless communication device includes a communication interface and processing circuitry coupled to the communication interface. At least one of the communication interface or the processing circuitry can generate an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) frame that includes a preamble that specifies allocation of at least one resource unit (RU) for a communication channel or nonallocation of the at least one RU for the communication channel. The preamble includes at least one long training field (LTF) to be used by a receiver for channel estimation. The LTF includes an extremely high-throughput (EHT)-LTF sequence.

A wireless communication device (alternatively, device, WDEV, etc.) includes at least one processing circuitry configured to support communications with other WDEV(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. Multiple user (MU) short feedback response in wireless communications

A wireless communication device (alternatively, device, WDEV, etc.) includes at least one processing circuitry configured to support communications with other WDEV(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. In some examples, the device includes a communication interface and a processing circuitry, among other possible circuitries, components, elements, etc. to support communications with other WDEV(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. The WDEV generates a trigger frame that requests feedback responses from other WDEV(s) and transmit the trigger frame to the plurality of other WDEV(s). Then, in response to the trigger frame and based on agreed-upon parameters, the WDEV receives simultaneously the feedback responses that include a first feedback response from a first other WDEV and a second feedback response from a second other WDEV (e.g., within respective orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) resource unit(s) (RU(s)) as specified by the agreed-upon parameters.

Resource unit (RU) allocation for a communication channel between wireless communication devices

A wireless communication device (alternatively, device, WDEV, etc.) includes a processing circuitry configured to support communications with other WDEV(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. In some examples, the device includes a communication interface and a processing circuitry, among other possible circuitries, components, elements, etc. to support communications with other WDEV(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. A WDEV selects a resource unit (RU) from an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) sub-carrier plan for use in supporting communications with another WDEV. The WDEV transmits a signal to the other WDEV that includes information that specifies the RU that is selected from the OFDMA sub-carrier plan and then supports communications with the other WDEV using the RU that is selected from the OFDMA sub-carrier plan. The OFDMA sub-carrier plan includes multiple OFDMA sub-carrier sub-plans of different sized RUs and null sub-carriers.

Short training field (STF) sequences are designed using a base binary sequence. In some examples, the base binary sequence is specified as [&#x2212;1, &#x2212;1 &#x2212;1 +1 +1 +1 &#x2212;1, +1, +1 +1 &#x2212;1 +1 +1 &#x2212;1, +1]. One STF includes the base binary sequence mapped. Another STF includes the base binary sequence followed by 0 followed by a phased rotated version of the base binary sequence. Another STF includes the base binary sequence followed by 0 followed by an inverted version of the base binary sequence.

Short training field (STF) within wireless communications

A device implementing a channel estimation for multi-channel transmissions system may include at least one processor configured to receive a set of signals over a set of channels, wherein each signal of the set of signals includes one of a set of channel estimation sequences. The set of channel estimation sequences may have been selected based at least in part on a signal quality metric, such as a peak-to-average power ratio, associated with a combination of the set of signals. The at least one processor may be further configured to perform a channel estimation for each channel based at least in part on the channel estimation sequence included in the signal received over each channel. In one or more implementations, the set of channel estimation sequences may be selected to minimize the signal quality metric associated with the combination of the plurality of channels.
