An integrated seating device comprises a seat frame having a front end and a rear end. The seat frame has a double wall defining an exterior wall and an interior wall. The rear end of the seat frame has a slot cut therethrough both the exterior wall and the interior wall. The front end of the seat frame has a slot cut through just the interior wall thereof. A back support comprising a generally L shape has a horizontal member, and a generally vertical member which is substantially perpendicular to the horizontal member. The horizontal member is sized to be threaded through the rear slot and is fitted into the front slot. Welded slat means secures the back support to the seat frame to result in an integrated seating device.

An umbrella frame comprises a plurality of main ribs attached to a slidable moving plate assembly by a plurality of support ribs. A plurality of stabilizing ribs are secured to the support ribs. The stabilizing ribs are further secured to a stationary plate assembly in a manner which permits the main ribs to open by gravity thus resulting in an umbrella frame whose relaxed state is open. An upper plate assembly is secured to the umbrella frame pole by an energy absorbing and dissipating means to stabilize the umbrella in windy conditions.

A pole stand is provided which has a base and a cylinder extending therefrom to receive a pole. The base and cylinder are an integral unit with the diameter of the cylinder being larger than the diameter of the pole into which it is placed. At the base of the cylinder is a cup bearing on which the base of the pole rests. The pole has a collar secured to it which, when the pole is positioned within the cylinder, is below the upper lip of the cylinder. This collar fits snugly around the pole such that the pole is prevented from contacting the inside wall of the cylinder. Above the collar, yet still below the lip of the cylinder is a set screw through the cylinder to retain the collar, and thus the pole, within the cylinder.

A clamp assembly for an umbrella tarp as applied on an umbrella frame comprises a two piece end cap and jaw assembly. A first, top section is comprised of a beam having a laterally extending flange therefrom. On the underside of the flange is a series of ribs or teeth forming the top half of the jaw assembly. Also extending laterally from the beam, and below the flange, are a pair of flanges that can be fit within the end of an extension member of an umbrella, forming an end cap. A second, bottom section has corresponding ribs to interconnectedly mate with the ribs of the top section. The bottom section has itself a bottom which conforms to the shape of the extension member of an umbrella frame. The umbrella tarp is placed between the first and section sections and the assembly is secured by screws or rivets into the umbrella frame's extension member.

An edging member for chairs comprises a continuous resilient bumper having a chamber defined by at least one chamber wall. The member is secured to a chair frame by a pair of spaced flanges which fit about the frame and are secured thereto by staples or the like. The edge member is formed of a high density, resilient, resin such as polyvinyl chlorida or polyurethane.
