An electronic device is configured for facilitating call communication with at least one hearing device is provided, Additionally, a method for call communication with at least one hearing device, and a hearing device is provided. The electronic device comprises a first interface for interconnecting with a call communication software, e.g. via a call protocol, and an interacting unit configured for interacting with the hearing device. The interacting unit is configured for obtaining an audio encryption key and transmitting/presenting the audio encryption key to the hearing device. The electronic device further comprises a transmission unit configured for broadcasting encrypted audio during a call facilitated by the call communication software, the audio being encrypted using the audio encryption key. The audio encryption key may be configured to be valid for a duration of the call.

Speakerphone hearing device integration

A headset for voice communication is provided comprising an earphone unit having a speaker, a microphone boom comprising one or more microphones wherein the microphone boom is rotatably interconnected with the earphone unit to allow for 360 degrees rotation. The microphone signals are transmitted from the microphone boom to the earphone unit via an optical transceiving unit having a transmitter and a receiver, wherein the microphone boom comprises the transmitter and the earphone unit comprises the receiver. The transmitter comprises a clock generator configured to generate a clock signal and a first processor configured to receive the microphone signals and to encode the clock signal into the microphone signals to form a first communication signal, and wherein the receiver comprises a clock re-generating unit for regenerating the clock signal, and a second processor for decoding the first communication signal according to the re-generated clock signal, and wherein the decoded microphone signals are provided to an electronic circuit in the earphone unit.

A mobile device () for receiving an audio signal from a source () via a base station () is disclosed. The mobile device comprises a first wireless communication interface () operable to communicate using a first mode of wireless communication; a second wireless communication interface ()_operable to communicate using a second mode of wireless communication, the second mode having a shorter range than the first mode; and a controller () configured to switch from receiving the audio signal from the base station via the first wireless communication interface to receiving the audio signal via the second wireless communication interface when the mobile device is proximate to the base station.

Apparatus and method for receiving an audio signal

A headset system comprising a headset and a base station. Each of said headset and base station comprises a transceiver configured to transmit radio signals between said headset and said base station according to a first wireless communication protocol, and each of said headset and base station further comprises a transceiver configured to transmit radio signals between said headset and said base station according to a second wireless communication protocol. At least one of said headset and said base station further comprises selecting means, such as a protocol selector configured to select one of said first and second wireless communication protocols for transmission of radio signals between said headset and said base station. The protocol selector is adapted to select the first wireless communication protocol for transmission of voice communication and the second wireless communication protocol for transmission of media content.

Wireless headset system with two different radio protocols

Headset for connection to a telephone apparatus, said headset comprising a capsule with a built-in receiver, and on which there is mounted a boom with a microphone. The headset is connected to a telephone apparatus by means of a wire with associated jack connection, and the headset has associated amplification and adjustment circuits for both the microphone and receiver, manual operating elements for the setting of said amplification and adjustment circuits, and switch elements for changeover depending partly on the type of microphone in the telephone apparatus and partly on the polarity of the telephone apparatus' microphone and receiver wires. The amplification and adjustment circuits are built into the headset capsule, so that the use of a separate connection box is avoided, and the manual operation elements are placed on the capsule. The switching elements consist of a multi-position switch, which is placed in the capsule in such a manner that it is accessible for operation.

Headset

The present invention concerns an adaptive headset interface for amplification and adjustment of signals between a random headset and a random terminal. The adaptive headset interface comprises digital signal processors, and is further equipped with a modem block over which the adaptive headset can be programmed by a call to a computer over the telephone net, whereby instructions as well as test signals are transferred between the computer and the adaptive headset interface, so that an adjustment is achieved which takes into account the signal transfer in relation to a reference telephone line corresponding to a given standard, or an adjustment which corresponds to the levels which apply for the relevant terminal to which the adaptive headset interface is connected.

An on-line indicator (40) for the multipurpose headset amplifier comprises a holder in two parts (45) arranged to be snapped onto the ascending, holder (10) which is mounted on the housing (5) of the multipurpose headset amplifier. The on-line indicator has a rotatable indicator or light emitting diode (41) which is coupled to the multipurpose headset amplifier by means of a cable (42). The light diode will light up when the headset is in use to indicate to others that the user of the headset is on the line.

An audio frequency compressing system for amplifying an input signal to produce a power output signal while removing high-level signals which could harm a listener. Gain control in the feedback path of an amplifier includes both a gain controller circuit for supplying a constant feedback impedance and a plurality of resistors which can be coupled to the gain controller circuit to increase or decrease the feedback impedance. Coupling of the resistors to the gain controller circuit is controlled by a feedback control circuit having both an automatic gain control circuit and a continuous high-level protection circuit.

A multipurpose headset amplifier for the connection of a headset (11) to a telephone instrument comprises a housing (5) having an ascending, thready holder (10) for a headset (11) and connection jacks (21, 22, 23) for the headset (11), the telephone instrument (22) and for the telephone instrument's handset, the housing having at the upper side comprises manuel operating members (6, 7, 8) for the adjustment of the device, and manual controls (15) at the underside for the adaptation of a headset to the impedance and signal level of any telephone instrument. The amplifier comprises an internal power supply (12) and a jack (13) for external power supply. The amplifier is furthermore provided with a microphone switch having a light-emitting diode (9), a volume control (7) and a switch (6).
