A method implemented in a user equipment (UE) includes connecting to a WLAN access point. The method further includes constructing a domain name for a packet system network, the domain name including network partition information for the packet system network. The method further includes transmitting, to a DNS server via the WLAN access point, the constructed domain name. The method further includes receiving, from the server, at least one address corresponding to a network node associated with the network partition information.

Methods and devices for selecting network partition in untrusted WLAN access

A core network node identifies a non-USIM based authentication procedure to be utilized by a wireless communication device, WCD, being served by the core network node. The node obtains a session key associated with the identified non-USIM based authentication procedure. The method further includes determining whether the received message corresponds to one or more network partitions based at least in part on the partition selection information. A method and apparatus for managing a HOLD announcement in a communication network. At an Application Server, AS, a message is received from a user terminal, the message comprises of an indicator, specifying whether the AS should provide a HOLD announcement in the event of a change in direction of a media stream between the user terminal and a further node during a session. The AS stores the indicator in a memory. Upon determination that a change in direction of the media stream has occurred, the AS determines, from the indicator, whether or not to provide the HOLD announcement to the further node.

A method and node in a communication network for facilitating access by a client terminal to an IMS service from a non-Session Initiation Protocol (non-SIP) compliant access network such as a circuit-switched network. The method comprises receiving a message from a user terminal requesting an XML document, the XML document conforming to a given structure and containing one or more service rules relating to a service, retrieving an XML document containing said service rules from a data storage entity. If the structure of the retrieved XML document differs from said given structure, adapting a rule or rules of the retrieved XML document such that the XML document conforms to said given structure, and sending the adapted XML document to the user terminal.

IP multimedia subsystem service configuration

Narrowband based telephony services and associated value added services are provided transparently in a network providing ATM switching and no STM switching is required in an ATM network () to which units () requiring such services are connected. This is obtained by means of, when a call enters the ATM network (), first finding the output port () from the ATM network (), then returning the address of that port to the entry port () and thereafter ATM switch the connection directly through the ATM network (). The general analysis system comprises a general analysis program for performing at least one analysis on a set of data and an analysis control data for controlling the analysis of the data set. According to the present invention, the general analysis program comprises a plurality of analysis primitives and the analysis control data comprises a plurality of analysis modules. An analysis may be constructed from a set of analysis modules and performed by interpreting this set using at least one of the analysis primitives.

General analysis system

A system and method for processing and analyzing telephone calls in a telephone exchange is disclosed. A general analysis program (40), comprising a plurality of high-level analysis primitives (78), performs at least one analysis on a set of data (54). An analysis control data (42), comprising a plurality of control-level analysis modules (70), controls the analysis of the data set. The present invention further provides low-level analysis primitives which may be used to build low-level analysis modules. The low-level analysis primitives and low-level analysis modules, in turn, may be used to build high-level analysis modules. Both the high-level analysis primitives and the high-level analysis modules can be used to build different types of control-level analysis modules. Each of the control-level analysis modules has a predetermined structure which controls a certain part of a particular analysis, such as analyzing one digit of a telephone number in destination analysis.
