A computer-implemented method for analyzing whether a phone call is answered by a human agent. The computer-implemented method receives phone call audio data of the phone call and separates the phone call audio data into caller stream data and agent stream data that each includes a plurality of frames and calculates decibel level for each frame. In response to measuring alternating groups of frames in the caller stream data and agent stream data that exceed a dialog decibel threshold, the computer-implemented method further identifies a dialog in the phone call audio data. In response to measuring decibel levels that exceed the dialog decibel threshold in corresponding frames in both the caller stream data and agent stream data, the computer-implemented method further identifies talkover in the phone call audio data. Furthermore, in response to identifying the dialog and if a level of talkover in the phone call audio data does not exceed a talkover threshold, the computer-implemented method determines the call is answered by the human agent.

Dialog analysis using voice energy level

There are disclosed devices, system and methods for desired signal spotting in noisy, flawed environments by identifying a signal to be spotted, identifying a target confidence level, and then passing a pool of cabined arrays through a comparator to detect the identified signal, wherein the cabined arrays are derived from respective distinct environments. The arrays may include plural converted samples, each converted sample include a product of a conversion of a respective original sample, the conversion including filtering noise and transforming the original sample from a first form to a second form. Detecting may include measuring a confidence of the presence of the identified signal in each of plural converted samples using correlation of the identified signal to bodies of known matching samples. If the confidence for a given converted sample satisfies the target confidence level, the given sample is flagged.

Desired signal spotting in noisy, flawed environments

Methods and systems for call processing are described. A call from a caller intended for a first party is received at a call processing system, which stores call signaling information associated with the call. A greeting is played to the caller, and a voice communication is received and recorded. At least a first portion of the voice communication is transmitted in substantially real time to a terminal associated with the first person. At least a portion of the voice communication is converted to text and the text is stored and transmitted to a terminal associated with the first party. When a search query is received from the first party, the system searches the data store to determine if there is matching call having related matching call information. If there is a matching call, related information may be provided to the first party.

Methods and systems for managing communications

The present invention is related to telecommunications, and in particular, to methods and systems for processing call signaling data. In an embodiment, a call processing system receives a first message from a switch while the switch is processing a call for a calling party, wherein the first message is initiated at least partly in response to a firing of a call event trigger configured within a switch. The first message includes call signaling information, including the calling party's phone number. The calling party's phone number is stored in the call processing system. A communication channel is established over a network between the call processing system and a computer associated with the called party. A message is transmitted to the networked computer, the message including the calling party's phone number, wherein the calling party's phone number is intended to be displayed on the networked computer associated with the called party.

Methods and systems for call processing

Methods and systems are described for processing call blocking instructions and for managing mobile messaging. A method of processing call blocking instructions is described. A call processing system receives a call from a caller intended for a first user. A notification regarding the call is transmitted to a mobile device associated with the first user. A message from the user is received via the mobile device, wherein the message is a text or multimedia type message. At least partly in response to the message, the caller is placed on a blacklist indicating that future calls from the caller to the user are to be blocked.

Methods and systems for blocking unwanted communications

Systems and methods that can be utilized to convert a voice communication received over a telecommunication network to text are described. In an illustrative embodiment, a call processing system coupled to a telecommunications network receives a call from a caller intended for a first party, wherein the call is associated with call signaling information. At least a portion of the call signaling information is stored in a computer readable medium. A greeting is played the caller, and a voice communication from the caller is recorded. At least a portion of the voice communication is converted to text, which is analyzed to identify portions that are inferred to be relatively more important to communicate to the first party. A text communication is generated including at least some of the identified portions and including fewer words than the recorded voice communication. At least a portion of the text communication is made available to the first party over a data network.

Methods and systems for managing telecommunications and for translating voice messages to text messages

The present invention provides flexible call processing. For example, a call processor system can receive an inbound call intended for a called party and place an outbound call to the called party. The call processing system can provide the called party with a call transfer option.

Methods and apparatus for providing expanded telecommunications service

Methods and systems are described for processing visual messages, such as text or multimedia messages, originated from a mobile phone. In an embodiment, a visual message from an originating wireless telephonic device is directed to an original destination address associated with a user. An indication that the visual message has been received at a first telecommunications system, wherein an original destination associated with the original destination address is not available to receive the originating wireless telephonic device visual message. The visual message is wirelessly transmitted to an alternate destination.
