Laminated glass includes: an outer glass plate having a first side and a second side; an inner glass plate that is arranged opposing the outer glass plate and has substantially the same shape as a shape of the outer glass plate; and an intermediate layer arranged between the outer and the inner glass, wherein the intermediate layer has a heat-generating layer including: a first bus bar that extends along an end portion closer to the first side; a second bus bar that extends along an end portion closer to the second side; and a plurality of heating lines arranged so as to connect the first bus bar and the second bus bar to each other, and when a predetermined voltage is applied between the first and second bus bars, an amount of heat generated per unit length of each of the heating lines is 2.0 W/m or less.

Laminated glass

The invention concerns a conductive pattern sheet for use in a glazing, comprising a substrate, a conductive pattern arranged on the substrate, wherein the conductive pattern comprises first and second busbars arranged at opposing edges of the conductive pattern for connecting a power supply thereto, a plurality of conductive lines each conductive line arranged between the first and second busbars, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of conductive lines is configured to have a transition region wherein a change from a first resistance per unit length (R) at a first end of the transition region to a second resistance per unit length (R) at a second end of the transition region occurs over a predetermined length (L) of the transition region wherein a rate of change of resistance per unit length (R-R)/L is from 1 to 16,000 ohms per centimetre squared and the substrate is a polymer sheet.

A laminated glass comprising an outer glass sheet, an inner glass sheet, and an intermediate layer between the outer and inner glass sheets. The intermediate layer has a first busbar, a second busbar, and heating wires connecting the first and second busbars, and a sheet-like substrate supporting the heating wires. The intermediate layer further comprises an adhesive layer. A distance from a centre of the wires to a surface the outer glass sheet and a distance from the centre of the wires to a surface the inner glass sheet being different; and a distance from the centre of the wires to the inside surface of the outer glass sheet and a distance from the centre of the wires to the outside surface of the inner glass sheet being different, and the adhesive layer thickness or the substrate thickness, whichever is smaller, is not more than 400 micrometres.

Laminated glass and method of manufacturing the same

A vehicle glazing comprising a glass substrate having an electrically conductive coating deposited on at least a portion of at least one surface thereof, wherein the electrically conductive coating comprises a pyrolytically deposited transparent conductive oxide layer, wherein a peripheral obscuration band printed on at least a portion of the electrically conductive coating, a cured electrically conductive ink printed on the peripheral obscuration band, and an electrically conductive element in electrical contact with both the electrically conductive coating and the cured electrically conductive ink. Also disclosed are a method of manufacturing a vehicle glazing and a vehicle comprising said vehicle glazing.

Vehicle glazing

A laminated glazing comprising, a first ply of a glazing material, a second ply of a glazing material, a film having an electrically conductive coating, the film being located between the first ply and the second ply, and a first busbar in electrical contact with the electrically conductive coating, the first busbar comprising an expansion portion, the expansion portion comprising a bridging busbar portion or a gap in the first busbar. Methods for producing the laminated glazing are also described.

Laminated glazing

A laminated vehicle glazing is disclosed, the glazing comprising a first glass ply coated with an electrically conductive coating, a second glass ply, an interlayer ply comprising polyvinyl butyral, and a first busbar comprising a conductive foil, wherein the electrically conductive coating comprises a pyrolytically deposited transparent conductive oxide layer and in that the first busbar is in direct contact with both the electrically conductive coating and the interlayer ply. Preferably the pyrolytically deposited transparent oxide layer comprises doped tin oxide and is the outermost layer of the electrically conductive coating. Also disclosed are a vehicle windshield and a train having a power supply at 25 V to 250 V, comprising a laminated vehicle glazing. A method for manufacturing a laminated vehicle glazing is also disclosed.

Laminated vehicle glazing

The invention relates to a laminated glazing comprising first and second plies of glazing material, a carrier film arranged between the first and second plies of glazing material carrying an electrically conductive coating, a busbar arranged in contact with the electrically conductive coating. An edge of the carrier film is spaced inwardly from an edge of the glazing. The busbar and the carrier film are arranged to define an anchor portion suitable for anchoring the carrier film, the anchor portion comprising a region of the carrier film extending outwardly from an edge of the busbar. The anchor portion anchors the film to avoid the formation of wrinkles in the carrier film. Avoidance of wrinkles results in more uniform heating and elimination of hotspots.

A wired glazing is disclosed comprising a ply of interlayer material, having a first busbar and an auxiliary busbar and heating wires between them. An adhesive layer is arranged between the first busbar and the ply of interlayer material. An auxiliary adhesive layer is arranged where an edge of the auxiliary busbar extends beyond an edge of the first busbar. The auxiliary adhesive layer bonds the auxiliary busbar to the ply of interlayer material. A corresponding process for manufacturing a wired glazing is disclosed.
