A spinal implant package includes a tray having a body including spaced apart first and second cavities. The body includes a third cavity between the first and second cavities. The tray includes a first connecting feature that is movable relative to the body. A lid is coupled to the tray by a hinge. The lid includes a second connecting feature that is movable between a first position in which a bottom surface of the second connecting feature directly engages a top surface of the first connecting feature and a second position in which a top surface of the second connecting feature directly engages a bottom surface of the first connecting feature to provisionally fix the lid to the tray.

Spinal implant packaging

An instrument includes an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve positioned in the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve defines a cavity. The shaft extends through the inner sleeve and includes a drive. A latch is positioned in the cavity. An inner sheath extends through an outer sheath and has a proximal end positioned between the inner sleeve and the shaft and a distal end comprising a threaded surface. The proximal end of the inner sheath includes a groove. The inner sleeve is movable relative to the outer sleeve to move the instrument between a first orientation in which the latch is positioned in the groove and the sheaths are prevented from translating relative to the outer sleeve and a second orientation in which the latch is spaced apart from the groove and the sheaths are translatable relative to the outer sleeve. Systems, implants and methods are disclosed.

Spinal implant system and method

A spinal implant package includes a sleeve defining a cavity extending through an end surface of the sleeve. A cap defines an aperture extending through an end surface of the cap. First portions of the end surfaces are joined to define a hinge. The end surface of the sleeve includes a second portion defining a first lip. The end surface of the cap includes a second portion defining a second lip. The package is movable between a closed configuration in which the first lip is adjacent the second lip and a portion of the spinal implant is enclosed within the cavity and the aperture, and an open configuration in which the first lip is spaced farther apart from the second lip and the portion of the spinal implant is positioned outside of the aperture while remaining positioned inside of the cavity.

A connector includes a first receiver that defines an implant cavity and includes a mating surface. A second receiver attachable with the first receiver via a flexible element, the second receiver defines an implant cavity and includes a mating surface engageable with the mating surface of the first receiver to fix relative orientation of the receivers. A biasing element is disposed adjacent the mating surfaces to space the mating surfaces such that the first receiver is movable relative to the second receiver in operation of the connector. Systems, surgical instruments, implants, spinal constructs and methods are disclosed.

Spinal implant connector and methods

A construct may include a connector having a first body portion and a second body portion rotatably coupled to another. A first implant cavity may be defined, at least partly, by at least two threaded arm portions defining a first axis between the at least two threaded arm portions. The first implant cavity may include a first receiving cavity configured to adjustably orient a first rod in a plane substantially perpendicular to the first axis, and the second implant cavity may include a second receiving cavity configured to orient a second rod. In some embodiments, the threaded arm portions are configured to receive a first set screw such that when the first set screw is fully tightened along the first axis the first rod is fixed relative to the first body portion in a direction extending substantially parallel with the plane.

Rotatable spinal implant, system, and method

A spinal construct is disclosed. The spinal construct may include a connector having a body including a first implant cavity and a second implant cavity. The first implant cavity being defined, at least partly, by at least two threaded arm portions. The first implant cavity may include a first receiving cavity configured to adjustably orient a first rod in a plane substantially perpendicular to the first axis. The second implant cavity may include a second receiving cavity configured to orient a second rod. In some embodiments, the threaded arm portions may be configured to receive a first set screw such that when the first set screw is fully tightened along the first axis the first rod is fixed relative to the body in a direction extending substantially parallel with the plane. In some embodiments, the body may further include a threaded opening communicating with the second receiving cavity.

A driver includes a sleeve having an inner surface defining a passageway. The sleeve extends along a longitudinal axis between a proximal end and an opposite distal end. The proximal end includes a groove in the inner surface. A biasing element is positioned partially in the groove. A shaft is disposed in the passageway. The shaft includes an outer surface, a first engagement portion, and a second engagement portion.
