Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may identify channel responses between antenna elements of antenna arrays of the wireless device and user equipments (UEs) at geographic locations within a coverage area of the wireless device. For example, the wireless device may identify the channel responses based on reference signal transmissions between the UEs and the wireless device. The wireless device may process the channel responses to identify one or more directional power peaks associated with the reference signal transmissions. The wireless device may, based on the one or more directional power peaks, detect phase error values, amplitude error values, or both common to the channel responses. The wireless device may adjust the signal communicated via at least a subset of the antenna elements based on the phase error values, the amplitude error values, or both and communicate with one or more of the UEs.

Antenna element calibration algorithm

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel state information (CSI) processing occupation determination that can be used even in multiple transmission reception point (mTRP) scenarios. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a channel state information (CSI) reporting configuration configuring the UE with a plurality of CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources for channel measurement (CMRs). The method includes determining a number of occupied CSI processing units, a number of occupied active CSI resources, and/or a number of occupied active CSI-RS ports based on an actual number of CSI measurements. The method includes performing CSI measurement based on the determination.

CPU, resource, and port occupation for multi-TRP CSI

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may utilize multi-port mobility reference signals to assist with spatial based mobility procedures. The UE may receive a reference signal that is associated with multiple antenna ports. The UE may measure a multi-dimensional channel response based on the reference signal. The multi-dimensional channel response may be associated with measured channel metrics corresponding to the multiple antenna ports. The UE may transmit a report that includes a channel measurement vector based on the multi-dimensional channel response. The channel measurement vector may indicate multiple measured channel metrics for one or more dimensions of the multi-dimensional channel response. The network entity may transmit a message that indicates one or more metrics associated with mobility management for the UE based on the report that indicates the channel measurement vector.

Spatial metric based mobility procedures using multi-port mobility reference signals

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for determining an energy per resource element (EPRE) ratio for non-zero power (NZP) channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) when a device is measuring a wireless channel. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining, based on an indication, an energy per resource element (EPRE) ratio for a non-zero power (NZP) channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource; and measuring a channel based on the determined EPRE ratio and CSI-RSs associated with the NZP CSI-RS resource.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may transmit a capability message to a base station. The capability message may indicate a capability of the UE to monitor a defined number of resources across a set of component carriers (CCs) within a time period. The resources may be channel measurement resources (CMRs) or interference measurement resources (IMRs) for signal to interference plus noise measurement, reference signal (RS) resources for channel state information (CSI) measurement, beam failure detection (BFD), reference signal receive power (RSRP) measurement, link quality monitoring, or different active beams. Based on the capability of the UE, the base station may transmit a monitoring configuration to the UE that indicates a set of resources or active beams for the UE to monitor in the set of CCs. The UE may monitor the defined resources or beams received in the monitoring configuration from the base station.

Indication of user equipment capability for beam failure detection and beam management

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, information indicating a Layer 1 signal to interference plus noise ratio (L1-SINR) measurement capability of the UE. In some aspects, the information indicating the L1-SINR measurement capability may include one or more individual configurations for one or more resources to carry a reference signal. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration that indicates a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) Layer 3 (L3) signal corresponding to a first cell. The UE may select, based at least in part on an angle of arrival (AoA) difference between a first AoA and a second AoA, a UE reception (Rx) beam for receiving the CSI-RS L3 signal, wherein the first AoA is associated with the CSI-RS L3 signal, and wherein the second AoA is associated with a communication corresponding to a second cell. User equipment override for enhanced type-II channel state information

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for measuring, filtering, and reporting cross-link interference (CLI) in cases where not all aggressor user equipments (UEs) are transmitting signals that can be measured by a victim UE. A UE may obtain a set of CLI measurements by performing CLI measurements during a set of CLI measurement occasions. The UE may determine a first subset of the set of CLI measurements that satisfy a CLI measurement threshold and a second subset of the set of CLI measurements that do not satisfy the CLI measurement threshold. The UE may apply a filter to the first subset of the set of CLI measurements, and suppress the filter for the second subset of the set of CLI measurements, to obtain a filtered CLI measurement value. The UE may transmit the filtered CLI measurement value to a base station.

Handling of absence of interference for cross-link interference measurement

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may indicate, to a base station, a capability of the UE to use a channel measurement resource for both a joint transmission hypothesis and a single transmission hypothesis. The UE may receive, based on indicating the capability of the UE, a configuration message indicating a first channel measurement resource that is associated with a first transmission configuration indicator state and that is configured for a first joint transmission hypothesis. The UE may obtain a channel measurement for both the first joint transmission hypothesis and a first single transmission hypothesis using the first channel measurement resource based on the configuration message.

A user equipment (UE) may utilize frequency domain (FD) compression for reporting channel state information (CSI) including a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). The UE may receive a CSI configuration specifying a first set of configured FD units to be reported. The UE may determine a first number of FD units based on the first set of configured FD units. The UE may select a second number of FD units that is greater than or equal to the first number of FD units. The UE may calculate, for one or more layers, a PMI for a second set of FD units including a number of FD units equal to the second number of FD units. The UE may allocate, according to a mapping rule, a number of PMIs for the first set of FD units to a subset of the PMIs for the second set of FD units.

In order to enable a UE receiving a narrowband signal transmitted using in-band resources to use the LTE reference signals to assist the UE in receiving the narrowband signal using an in-band deployment, a phase rotation employed by the base station may be fixed relative to a known reference position in time. An apparatus for wireless communication at a base station may determine a phase offset for a narrowband signal for transmission using wideband resources, the phase offset having a relationship to a reference point in time and transmit the narrowband signal using the determined phase offset. An apparatus for wireless communication at a UE may receive a narrowband signal having a frequency location within a wideband signal and rotate a symbol of the wideband signal by a per symbol phase offset having a relationship of the phase offset to a reference point in time.

Certain example embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for joint transmission of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) from multiple transmission points (TPs) for channel state feedback and/or TP selection. An example method generally includes coordinating with one or more other TPs to jointly transmit a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) to a user equipment (UE); signaling a reporting restriction to the UE; receiving precoding matrix indicator (PMI) feedback from the UE based on the jointly transmitted CSI-RS and subject to the reporting restriction; and selecting one or more of the TPs to serve based on the PMI feedback.
