An antenna and an antenna array, the antenna including a dielectric resonator fed by a feeder connected to a ground plane, wherein the dielectric resonator is arranged to emit an electromagnetic radiation along a wave propagation axis upon an electric excitation input to the feeder, and wherein the electromagnetic radiation is equivalent to a combination of a plurality of electromagnetic wave components.

Antenna

An antenna assembly, a wireless-communication-enabled device and an intelligent home or office appliance including such antenna assembly. The antenna assembly includes an antenna including an antenna body and a feeder, and at least one functional module arranged to operate with a function different from that provided by the antenna; wherein the at least one functional module includes at least one electrical connection module arranged to connects with an external electrical connector.

Antenna assembly

An antenna assembly, a wireless-communication-enabled device and an intelligent home or office appliance including such antenna assembly. The antenna assembly includes an antenna including an antenna body and a feeder, and at least one functional module arranged to operate with a function different from that provided by the antenna.

A dielectric resonator antenna includes a dielectric resonator element, a ground plane, and a conductive feeding arrangement. The ground plane is connected with the dielectric resonator element, and is operable to generate a first electromagnetic radiation. The conductive feeding arrangement is operable to generate a second electromagnetic radiation. During operation, simultaneous generation of the first electromagnetic radiation and the second electromagnetic radiation provides a unilateral electromagnetic radiation.

Dielectric resonator antenna

A dielectric resonator antenna having a dielectric substrate with a ground plane and a dielectric resonator element arranged on the ground plane includes a conductive feeding assembly operable to excite one or more dielectric resonator modes of the dielectric resonator element for generation of a first circularly polarized electromagnetic field, and a radiating arrangement operable to produce a second circularly polarized electromagnetic field complementary to the first circularly polarized electromagnetic field. The first and second circularly polarized electromagnetic fields, when combined, are arranged to provide a unilateral circularly polarized electromagnetic field.

The present invention relates to a group of derivatives synthesized based on the ent-kaurane diterpenoid flexicaulin A and the methods to synthesize such diterpenoid derivatives. In particular, the chemical entities of such synthetic diterpene compounds in the manufacture of a medicament is for the treatment of tumors or cancers.

Method of use of diterpenoid derivatives as anticancer agents

An antenna includes a dielectric resonator coupled to a ground plane provided on a substrate having a slot structure on the ground plane; and a monopole substantially surrounded by the dielectric resonator; wherein, when the monopole, the dielectric resonator and the slot structure are excited with an electrical signal, the combination of the monopole, the dielectric resonator and the slot structure is arranged to radiate an electromagnetic signal associated with the electrical signal in a substantially unidirectional manner.

In particular, the present invention relates to methods for labeling, imaging and detecting the beta-amyloid (A&#x3b2;) peptides, oligomers, and fibrils in vitro by using carbazole-based fluorophores. A further aspect of the present invention relates to a method of reducing and preventing aggregation of beta-amyloid peptides for Alzheimer's disease (AD) as well as of treating and/or preventing Alzheimer's disease by using carbazole-based fluorophores.
