A motor driver is provided. The motor driver includes an AC/DC converter, a DC/AC converter, a heat dissipation plate and a busbar module. The AC/DC converter converts an AC input power to a DC power and includes a first thermal module, a second thermal module, a first capacitor pack and a second capacitor pack. The DC/AC converter is connected with the AC/DC converter, converts the DC power to an AC output power, and includes a third thermal module. The heat dissipation plate includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The first thermal module is disposed on the upper surface. The second thermal module and the third thermal module are disposed on two opposite surfaces, respectively. The first capacitor pack is disposed on the upper surface. The second capacitor pack is disposed on the lower surface and corresponding to the first capacitor pack.

Motor driver

A switch short-circuited diagnosis method includes steps of: determining an initial voltage interval of multiple voltage intervals according to voltage relationships between voltages of a first phase wire, a second phase wire, and a third phase wire; performing a switch short-circuited diagnosis of a first bidirectional switch module in the three consecutive voltage intervals from the initial voltage interval, and including steps of: turning on a first switch branch, a second switch branch, or a third switch branch of the first bidirectional switch module according to the voltage relationships between the voltages of the first, second and third phase wires, determining whether an overcurrent occurs to diagnose whether the first switch branch, the second switch branch, or the third switch branch of the first bidirectional switch module is in a short-circuited state, and performing the switch short-circuited diagnosis for the next voltage interval.

Switch short-circuited diagnosis method

A method of obtaining a parameter of a synchronous motor is disclosed and includes: setting an operating current of the motor; providing a positive fixed voltage to the motor and monitoring a feedback current from the motor; recording a triggering time for the feedback current to reach the operating current; providing a negative fixed voltage to the motor for the triggering time; obtaining a square-wave voltage with a fixed frequency based on the positive fixed voltage and the negative fixed voltage being provided; providing the square-wave voltage with the fixed frequency to one axis of the motor; transforming three-phase current from the motor into an axial current; computing an inductance value of this axis based on the fixed frequency, the square-wave voltage and the axial current; and, creating an inductance-current parameter table based on a plurality of the inductance values and the axial currents correspondingly.

Method for obtaining parameter of synchronous motor

A magnetic element includes a first magnetic core, a second magnetic core, a first winding and a second winding. The first magnetic core includes a first lateral core part, a second lateral core part and a first middle core part between the first lateral core part and the second lateral core part. The second magnetic core includes a third lateral core part, a fourth lateral core part and a second middle core part between the third lateral core part and the fourth lateral core part. The third lateral core part is located beside the first middle core part. The second middle core part is located beside the second lateral core part. The first winding is wound around the first middle core part and the third lateral core part. The second winding is wound around the second middle core part and the second lateral core part.

Magnetic element

A method of clamping an output current of a three-phase power converter is provided. The three-phase power converter includes three switching bridge arms and provides a three-phase output voltage command, and each switching bridge arm has an upper switch and a lower switch connected in series. The method includes steps of: determining that the output current is greater than a first current threshold to activate a current clamping control procedure, comparing a carrier signal with the three-phase output voltage command to turn on the lower switches by a first zero vector when the carrier signal is rising and turn on the upper switches by a second zero vector when the carrier signal is falling, determining that the output current is greater than a second current threshold to activate an overcurrent protection procedure, wherein the second current threshold is greater than the first current threshold.

Method of clamping output current of three-phase power converter

A matrix power conversion device including a plurality of three-phase switching modules and a controller is provided. Each three-phase switching module includes a plurality of bidirectional switches connected to the input phase voltages of the three-phase input power respectively and outputs a corresponding output phase voltage of the three-phase output power. The controller determines a maximum voltage, an intermediate voltage and a minimum voltage among all the input phase voltages to acquire a waveform of a control carrier wave in a switching cycle. The controller acquires output expected values corresponding to all output phase voltages and compares them with the waveform of the control carrier wave for acquiring a turning-on time of each of the plurality of bidirectional switches. Accordingly, the controller controls the matrix power conversion device to switch the three-phase input power so as to change the three-phase output power for driving the motor.

Matrix power conversion device and control method thereof

A power drive circuit includes a power conversion module, a plurality of gate drivers, a waveform processing unit, a control unit, a weighting unit, and a comparator. Each gate driver includes a drive resistance setting value. The waveform processing unit outputs a current absolute value waveform of an AC power. The weighting unit generates a trigger voltage. When the comparator determines that the current absolute value waveform is greater than the trigger voltage, the comparator outputs a slew rate control signal to each of the gate drivers. When the gate driver receives the slew rate control signal, each of the gate drivers decreases the drive resistance setting value of the gate driver.

Power drive circuit and method of controlling the same

A power supply apparatus is coupled to an AC power source, a critical load, and a general load. The power supply apparatus includes a UPS, a generator system, a power conversion system, and a controller. The power conversion system includes a first power conversion path and a second power conversion path. The first power conversion path is connected to the critical load and an output side, and the second power conversion path is connected to the general load and an input side. The first power conversion path and the second power conversion path are jointly connected to a DC bus. When the controller determines that the AC power source is abnormal, the controller controls disconnecting the AC power source, and activates the UPS to supply power to the critical load so as to enable the first power conversion path and disable the second power conversion path.

Power supply apparatus

A method of controlling a power converter is provided. The power converter generates a three-phase output power by switching an input power through a plurality of switches. The method includes steps of: acquiring a three-phase output command corresponding to the three-phase output power; comparing the three-phase output command with a control carrier to acquire a voltage phase angle corresponding to the three-phase output command; acquiring a three-phase current value of the three-phase output power; detecting the voltage phase angle and a positive/negative change of the three-phase current value to decide a zero-sequence voltage; composing the zero-sequence voltage and the three-phase output command to acquire a three-phase output expected value; comparing the three-phase expected values with the control carrier to acquire a turned-on time of each switch; and switching the input power to adjust the three-phase output power according to the turned-on time of each switch.

Method of controlling power converter and power converter

An integrated magnetic element is provided, including a first magnetic-core frame, three second magnetic-core frames, and three coil windings. The first magnetic-core frame has a first side pillar and a second side pillar opposite to the first side pillar. The three second magnetic-core frames are arranged on the side corresponding to the first side pillar of the first magnetic-core frame, and are arranged in parallel with the axis of the first side pillar of the first magnetic-core frame. Each of the second magnetic-core frames has a first side pillar adjacent to the first side pillar of the first magnetic-core frame, and a second side pillar opposite to the first side pillar of itself. The three coil windings connect to a three-phase grid, and wind around the first side pillar of the first magnetic-core frame and the corresponding first side pillar of the second magnetic-core frame respectively.

Integrated magnetic elements

An indirect matrix converter includes a rectifier module, an inverter module, and a control unit. The rectifier module includes three parallel-connected T-type bridge arms, and each T-type bridge arm includes a bidirectional switch and a power bridge arm. The power bridge arm includes a first switch and a second switch connected to the first switch in series. One end of the bidirectional switch is coupled to a first AC power source, and the other end thereof is coupled to a common contact between the first switch and the second switch. The control unit outputs a plurality of control signals to control the rectifier module and the inverter module, so that the first AC power source is converted into a second AC power source, or the second AC power source is converted into the first AC power source.

Indirect matrix converter and rectifier module

A bearingless motor is provided. The bearingless motor primarily includes a rotor module and a stator. The rotor module includes a plurality of rotor elements, and the stator includes a housing that forms a receiving space for receiving the rotor module, wherein the rotor module is rotatable relative to the stator.

A thermal abnormality detection system includes: a first heat dissipation system having a first temperature sensor for measuring an actual temperature of the first heat dissipation system; a second heat dissipation system having a second temperature sensor for measuring an actual temperature of the second heat dissipation system. Assuming that a difference between the actual temperature of the first heat dissipation system and an upper limit temperature of the first heat dissipation system is d1, and a difference between the actual temperature of the second heat dissipation system and an upper limit temperature of the second heat dissipation system is d2, when a value of d1&#x2212;d2 is greater than an error threshold value Error1_level, the first heat dissipation system is determined to be abnormal, and when the value of d1&#x2212;d2 is less than an error threshold value Error2_level, the second heat dissipation system is determined to be abnormal.

Thermal abnormality detection system and method

A method for determining failure of a power element for use in an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a power element and a detection circuit. The method includes the steps of: obtaining a temperature-calculation model of the power element, and obtaining a parameterized temperature-calculation model of a power-element parameter and a parameterized temperature of the power element; detecting load information and the power-element parameter by the detection circuit; calculating a modeled temperature of the power element according to the load information and the temperature-calculation model, and calculating the parameterized temperature of the power element according to the power-element parameter and the parameterized temperature-calculation model; determining whether an error between the modeled temperature and the parameterized temperature exceeds a permitted range; and determining that the power element has failed in response to the error exceeding the permitted range.

Method for determining failure of power element and electronic device thereof

A motor comprises a stator, heatsinks, a rotor and a heat-dissipation device. The stator has a hollow portion, a coil portion and a housing portion having a first surface, a second surface and sidewalls. The hollow portion is penetrated through the housing portion. The coil portion is disposed between the hollow portion and the housing portion. The heatsinks are respectively disposed on different sidewalls. The heat-dissipation device comprises a wind-guiding cover and a first fan. The wind-guiding cover comprises a wind-guiding main board and wind-guiding lateral boards. The wind-guiding main board is disposed adjacent to the second surface. The wind-guiding lateral boards are vertically extended from different lateral edges of the wind-guiding main board towards the same direction. Each wind-guiding lateral board is disposed corresponding to one of the heatsinks, and at least one of the wind-guiding lateral boards has a hole. The first fan is received by the hole.
