A method and apparatus to reduce read retry operations in a NAND Flash memory is provided. To reduce the number of read retries for future reads, a word line group is assigned an optimal read voltage, the reference voltage that results in eliminating the read error for the word line is selected as the optimal read voltage (also referred to as a 'sticky voltage') for the word line group to be used for a next read of the page. An optimal read voltage per word line group for the page per NAND Flash memory die is stored in the lookup table. Storing an optimal read voltage per word line group instead of per die reduces the number of read retries.

Method and apparatus to improve read latency of a multi-threshold level cell block-based non-volatile memory

A system for a cluster gateway to multiple filesystems comprises a cluster interface, a target filesystem, a command tailor, and a filesystem interface. The cluster interface is for receiving a filesystem command from a cluster. The target filesystem determiner is for determining a target filesystem of a set of filesystems based at least in part on the filesystem command. The command tailor is for determining a tailored command of the filesystem command for the target filesystem. The filesystem interface is for providing the tailored command to the target filesystem.

Examples described herein can be used to reduce a number of re-read operations and potentially avoid data recovery operations, which can be time consuming. A determination can be made of a read voltage to apply during an operation to cause a read of data stored in a region of a memory device. The region of the memory device can be read using the read voltage. If the region is not successfully read, then an error level indication can be measured and a second read voltage can be determined for a re-read operation. If the re-read operation is not successful, then a second error level indication can be measured for the re-read operation. A third read voltage can be selected based on the change from the error level indication to the second error level indication.

In some examples, a method of fabricating a transducer includes disposing a plurality of anchors on a substrate and disposing a sealing material and a device layer over the anchors and the substrate to form a cavity, the sealing material sealing the cavity. The at least one spring member may be supported by at least one anchor of the plurality of anchors, and the at least one spring member may support the plate to allow relative movement between the plate and the substrate.

A synchronous rectifier (SR) controller includes a controller having an input adapted to be coupled to a drain of an SR transistor, and an output for providing a drive signal in response thereto, a gate driver having an input coupled to the output of the controller, and an output adapted to be coupled to a gate of the SR transistor for providing a gate signal thereto, a first transistor having a drain coupled to the gate terminal, a gate, and a source coupled to ground, and a protection circuit having an input coupled to the drain terminal, and an output coupled to the gate of the first transistor. The protection circuit is responsive to a voltage on the drain terminal exceeding a first voltage to provide a voltage on the gate of the first transistor greater than a turn-on voltage and less than an overvoltage of the first transistor.

A circuit includes a drain detect circuit. The drain detect circuit receives a sense signal from a secondary side of a power converter circuit, determines, using voltage values of the sense signal, whether a primary side switch of the power converter circuit has been turned on, and assert a switch on detect signal in response to determining that the primary side switch has been turned on. The circuit may assert an enable signal in response to the assertion of the switch on detect signal, and de-asserts the enable signal in response to an assertion of a control signal. The control signal may only allowed to be asserted when the enable signal is asserted. The control signal may control a Synchronous Rectifier device. The power converter circuit may be a flyback converter, and the primary side switch may control a current into a primary-side coil of a transformer.

Systems and methods for controlling blocks in a memory device using a health indicator (such as the failed bit count) for the blocks are disclosed. However, the health indicator may exhibit noise, thereby resulting in an unreliable indicator of the health of the blocks in the memory device. In order to filter out the noise, a rolling average of the health indicator may be determined, and compared to the current health indicator. The comparison with the rolling average may indicate whether the current health indicator is an outlier, and thus should not be used. The health indicator may also be used to predict a future health indicator for different blocks in the memory device. Using the predicted future health indicator, the use of the blocks may be changed in order to more evenly wear the blocks.

In one embodiment, a power supply controller, or alternately a semiconductor device having a power supply controller, may have a circuit configured configuring the PWM circuit to form a first signal having a value formed to be representative of a peak value of a primary current through the power switch and having a duration that is representative of a time interval that a secondary current is flowing through a secondary winding wherein the peak value is the peak value during an on-time of the power switch, and configured to form a current having a value that is representative of an average value of the secondary current.

The synchronous rectifier driver prevents the turn-off trigger from turning OFF the synchronous rectifier during a turn-off trigger blanking time that is adaptively set based on a conduction time of the synchronous rectifier.

In some examples, a transducer apparatus includes a spring structure that enables a large, reliable amount of displacement of a transducer plate. For instance, an individual cell of the transducer apparatus may include a substrate having a first electrode portion, with at least one spring anchor extending from a first side of the substrate. At least one spring member may be supported by the at least one anchor, and may be connected to a plate that includes a second electrode portion. Accordingly, the spring member may support the plate, at least in part, for enabling the plate to move in a resilient manner toward and away from the substrate. In some cases, the spring member may be a bar-shaped spring that is cantilevered to an anchor or supported by two or more anchors. Additionally, a cavity between the plate and the substrate may be sealed by a sealing material.

A first physical block of a first metablock may be determined to have a different health than a second physical block of a second metablock based on health indicators of the first and second physical blocks. Each of the health indicators may indicate an extent to which a respective one of the first and second physical blocks may be written to and/or erased before the respective one of the first and second physical blocks becomes defective.
