A secondary battery. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, a housing, a top cover assembly, a current collecting member, and an insulation member. The electrode assembly is accommodated in the housing and includes a body portion and a first tab. The first tab extends from one end of the body portion in a transverse direction. The top cover assembly includes a top cover plate and a first electrode terminal disposed on the top cover plate. The top cover plate is connected to the housing, and the first electrode terminal is connected to the current collecting member. The insulation member is disposed between the body portion and the current collecting member. The insulation member includes a through gap. The first tab passes.

The bidirectional pressure relief valve includes a valve seat, a first valve element and a second valve element, where the valve seat has a first end and a second end opposite each other, a channel and a partition plate, the channel penetrating the first end and the second end, a first pressure relief hole being provided on the partition plate, and the partition plate being arranged on an inner wall of the channel, and dividing the channel into a first cavity and a second cavity in an axial direction of the channel. The bidirectional pressure relief valve of the application can be applied to the battery to maintain balance between internal pressure and external pressure of the battery.

The housing has an opening and forms an accommodating cavity. The insulating member includes two first insulating sheets, and the two first insulating sheets are disposed respectively at two sides of the electrode assembly along the thickness direction.

The negative electrode plate comprises a negative current collector and a negative film that is provided on at least one surface of the negative current collector and comprises a negative active material. The negative film meets the follow relations: 6.0&#x2264;PD&#xd7;Dv50&#x2264;32.0 and 0.2&#x2264;PD/Dn10&#x2264;12.0. The negative electrode plate of the present invention has excellent dynamic performance, and the battery of the present invention has both excellent dynamic performance and long cycle life.
