Light emitting device comprising a flexible light matrix

To improve the efficiency and reliability of communication, such as for control commands distribution and data collection, in a large and high density wireless control system (), each one of a plurality of nodes in the system is assigned one out of three roles, a router node (), a non-router node (), or a data collector node (). A node () in the wireless control system () is capable to operate according to at least one of two communication protocols. A first communication protocol is capable to support mesh or tree network with multi-hop routing, while a second communication protocol is capable to support a star network with point-to-point connection. The router nodes build up a sparse multi-hop network to guarantee the connectivity of the large-scale network. Around each router node within one-hop direct link, a local star network is built up with at least one non-router node and at least one data collector node.

Wireless control system based on a hybrid network

The present invention relates to a wireless systemrunning multiple applications at the same time, such as for both lighting control and asset tracking. A nodecomprised in the wireless systemis capable to operate in multiple communication modes, with each communication mode is according to a different communication technology. One the other hand, one application may have a preferred communication mode different from another application, considering some applications may have higher security requirements than the others. In view of this, a mode switching method is disclosed to assist the nodeto serve multiple parallel applications in an efficient manner.

Reliable and security-aware communication in a hybrid wireless network

To improve the efficiency and reliability of communication in a large and high-density wireless network, it is beneficial to assign a subset of the plurality of nodesbeing router nodes, and the rest of the nodes being non-router nodes. Thus, the dense wireless networksplits into a sparse core mesh network and many small star networks around each router node. However, to commission the plurality of nodes into such a hybrid topology can be quite complex and time-consuming. This invention discloses a commissioning method that makes use of one or more neighboring relationship established among the plurality of nodes to derive a proper role for an individual node, and then to configure the individual node to operate according to the role assigned. The disclosed commissioning method may be carried out semi-automatically or automatically.

A system () for controlling a lighting device () to render light effects determined based on an analysis of video content while a display () displays the video content is configured to determine a display white point used by the display and determine a lighting device white point to be used by the lighting device based on the display white point. The display displays the video content according to the display white point. The system is further configured to perform the analysis of the video content to determine the light effects and control the lighting device to render the light effects according to the lighting device white point, and either: transmit color information and the lighting device white point to the lighting device to enable the lighting device to convert the color information to light settings according to said lighting device white point, or perform the analysis of said video content by determining colors from said video content, convert said colors to light settings according to the lighting device white point, and transmit light commands comprising said light settings to said lighting device.
