A method of providing at least two outlet purified water streams from a water purification system by providing a first purified water into a first reservoir able to provide an outlet purified water stream. At least a portion of the first purified water is passed from the first reservoir through a water purification process to provide an ultra-purified water stream. The ultra-purified water stream is passed to a second reservoir. An excess of ultra-purified water is provided into the second reservoir beyond a pre-determined quantity, The excess ultra-purified water in the second reservoir is allowed to flow from the second reservoir into the first reservoir. An outlet from the water purification system of an ultra-purified water stream is provided from the second reservoir.

Method and system for providing purified water

A system is disclosed for facilitating maintenance of water treatment apparatus at multiple locations and which include multiple components designed with an operational life that is greater than an apparatus exchange duration. The system includes tracking the usage of each component and determining an exchange date for an existing apparatus. A refurbished apparatus is sent to the location when the existing apparatus is at or near its exchange date. The operational life remaining for each component in the existing apparatus is determined based on the usage of the component. Each component that has operational life remaining that is less than the exchange duration for use as a refurbished apparatus is removed and replaced or refurbished so as to create a refurbished unit.

Water purification unit

A clinical analyser wastewater treatment apparatus is disclosed including a carbonator section. Preferably there is also an anodic oxidation section and a UV oxidation section, as well as a heavy metal removal section. The anodic oxidation section may include a conductive diamond anode. The apparatus may include a measurement device downstream of the carbonator section and a control system to control the operation of the carbonator. The measurement device is preferably a pH sensor.

Wastewater treatment apparatus and method

A system for detecting presence of an organism having an enzyme in a sample, comprising: a cartridge for containing the sample and a substrate such that the enzyme can react with the substrate to produce a biological molecule; a partitioning element mounted in a recess in a base of the cartridge, the partitioning element allowing partitioning of the biological molecule thereinto; a light source for irradiating the biological molecule partitioned into the partitioning element; and, a detector for detecting fluorescence of the biological molecule partitioned into the partitioning element, the detected fluorescence being indicative of presence of the organism in the sample; wherein the light source is in a raised cartridge mount of the system that mates with the recess in the base of the cartridge.

Method and system for detecting biological molecules in samples

A water purification apparatus comprising at least: (a) one or more water purification components in a housing; and (b) a handset integral with the housing, and moveable between a supported position on the housing and a suspended position beyond the housing, the handset including one or more water purification controls thereon. In this way, at least one control of the purification of the water in the housing is operative on the handset, which handset is useable either in its supported position on the housing or in its suspended position beyond the housing, whichever is most convenient to the user. More convenience is therefore provided to a user by the present invention compared with conventional purification apparatus.

A container, comprising: a body; and, a closure; wherein the closure has a lid hinged to a ring mounted on the body, the lid moveable from an open position to a closed position; wherein the lid has a tab hinged thereto for: inserting into and engaging a slot formed in the ring as the lid is moved to the closed position from the open position to thereby lock the lid in the closed position; or, receiving and engaging a pin head of a pin mounted on the ring in a hole formed in the tab to thereby hold the lid in the closed position, the pin configured to detach from the ring when the tab and lid are returned to the opened position.

Container, a closure for a container, and a base for a container

A sanitant component comprising a sanitant to sanitize at least a part of a water purification apparatus and/or a water distribution apparatus and one or more sanitant receivers to receive residual sanitant and/or sanitant products from the water purification apparatus and/or water distribution apparatus. In this way, residual sanitant and/or sanitant products from the water purification apparatus and/or water distribution apparatus can be conveniently collected back into the sanitizing component for easier, and/or quick and/or more convenient disposal.

Component, method and system of sanitising a water purification apparatus and/or a distribution apparatus

A water purification apparatus comprising at least: (a) one or more water purification components to provide a purified water stream, preferably having a conductivity of less than 1 &#x3bc;S/cm; and (b) a stepper motor () to control the dispense of the purified water stream () from the water purification apparatus. Stepper motors can provide very fine and accurate control of the dispense of the purified water stream from the water purification apparatus, which control is unaffected by the flow or flow rate of the purified water stream.

Water purification apparatus and method

A method of determining the TOC of a purified water stream is disclosed comprising at least the steps of: passing a supply water stream through a water purification apparatus including an oxidizer to provide a purified water stream, and dispensing at least a portion of the purified water stream; stopping the dispense of the purified water stream and recirculating the purified water stream as a recirculating water stream through at least a portion of the water purification apparatus including the oxidizer to provide a re-oxidized water stream; and measuring the conductivity value of the re-oxidized water stream to determine the TOC of the purified water stream. In this way, a determination of the TOC of the purified water stream of can be provided without requiring a dedicated TOC monitor at the point of dispense of the purified water stream.

A control apparatus for a liquid dispense system having at least one liquid outlet and at least one flow control device for controlling the dispense of liquid from said outlet(s) during a dispense operation, said control apparatus including an operating device for controlling the operation of at least one flow control device to permit dispense of a desired volume of liquid from the outlet(s) during a dispense operation; a recording device for recording one or more parameters of the liquid dispense system and/or the operating device during the dispense operation to create a dispense profile for the dispense operation, at least one of the recorded parameters being indicative of the flow rate of liquid at the outlet(s); and a control device for controlling the operation of the operating device during a subsequent dispense operation based upon the recorded dispense profile.
