An embodiment includes a cardioplegia delivery system having a console, controller, and disposables. The console, in conjunction with the disposables, combines blood from the heart-lung machine and crystalloid from the IV-bag in a specified ratio and then adds in a drug (arrest agent and/or additive). The electro-mechanical console incorporates a blood/crystalloid pump, temperature controllable water circulation system, pressure and temperature monitors, a sensor interface with the disposables, an arrest agent pump, an additive pump and ultra-sonic air detection sensors. The system monitors and controls the blood-crystalloid ratio, drug concentration, flow rate, pressure, temperature, and delivery route of the cardioplegia solution delivered to the patient. The system is a software-controlled system with a graphical user interface controller. The controller is utilized to initiate/stop cardioplegia delivery, monitor delivery parameters and view/save relevant case information and data.

Myocardial protection system

Provided are surprisingly effective methods for producing uniform, cold-brew beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, fruit juice/extract, vegetable juice/extract, etc.) having an extended shelf-life, comprising: use of non-oxygen gas mixtures comprising hydrogen (to reduce or eliminate total packaged oxygen (TPO)), use of pressure/vacuum ports in brewing and/or conditioning chambers to provide chambered vacuum and/or pressure to enhance oxygen elimination, use of continuous mixing/agitation during the final conditioning phase to provide for even particulate suspension, use of a two-phase filtration system to provide for uniform tailoring of the amount and/or size of undissolved solids, and use of jacketed brewing and/or conditioning chambers for enhanced control of temperature, extraction uniformity and conditioning. Cold-brew beverages prepared by the methods, and systems for making same are provided. Beverages prepared by any method and packaged in a container and exposed therein to a non-oxygen gas mixture comprising hydrogen, and methods for making same are provided.

System and method for highly uniform production of cold-brewed beverages having extended shelf-life

A slide processing apparatus comprises a slide or processing station which may include a plurality of cuvettes, each cuvette configured to receive a slide. A reagent fluid supply is coupled to each cuvette to deliver and apply reagent for treatment of the slide. A slide gripper is disposed above the slide processing station and is configured to move the slide in and out of the cuvettes. A screw assembly is disposed adjacent the slide processing station, the screw assembly configured to receive a plurality of slides, wherein rotation of the screw assembly advances the plurality of slides for engagement by the slide gripper.

Multiple slide processing apparatus

A battery powered golf club cart having an elongated handle which controls both the power applied to its rear wheels and a brake associated with its front wheel. When the handle is depressed an electric motor which rotates the rear wheels is actuated and the front brake is released. When the handle is raised, the electric motor is disabled and the front wheel is drawn into contact with a braking member. A full set of golf clubs are vertically held in a flat rack forming a part of the cart framework and, after removal of the battery, the cart may be collapsed into a thin flat package, convenient for transporting and storage, without need for removal of the golf clubs.

Collapsible electric golf cart

A portable practice golf driving range including a tethered golf ball which is driven from an area of artificial turf. The tethering is of nylon cord which is connected to a spring steel spike driven into the ground, the spring steel being of sufficient resiliency that the ball will not be torn free from the nylon cord. Tension on the artificial turf may be adjusted to alter the characteristic lie of the golf ball when it is being driven.
