A strategic pattern building game apparatus having a target grid and a rotatable loading tray movable between an elevated position above and aligned with the target grid during play and a folded position adjoining the target grid for transport and/or storage. The game apparatus includes a plurality of playing discs which are placed in channels in the target grid and in the loading tray, and projectile launchers used by players to knock out playing discs until one player achieves four of his/her discs in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. The discs are deformable and received at the target grid for being ejected during game play when impacted by the projectile.

Toy and game methods and apparatus including rectangular block elements layered to form a tower with upper and lower layers held by frictional coupling between the layers. The tower height increases during game play by removing blocks from one or more lower layers to build up successive upper layers upon an assembly platform. An upsetting element at the base transforms the blocks by dislodging the block elements with respect to the assembly platform by moving or traversing the assembly platform. A shifting mechanism may be provided in mechanical communication with the assembly platform for moving the platform between positions. A timer element establishes a predetermined time period from which the upsetting element transforms the block elements assembled atop the platform at an expiration of the set period of play time.

Timer controlled building and demolition game apparatus

A revised universal base structure which is adapted for use in manufacturing various different versions of an electromechanical game using the same base structure. The base structure provides a network or grid of recessed areas above which a ground plate may extend. The recessed areas are formed as small squares and various small playing pieces are receivable in the recesses so that they can be retrieved by players during the course of game play. However, the base structure can be used with various uniquely different ground plates and unique upper boards to form various different embodiments of the differing games.

An Indiana Jones theme board game having a tower supporting a plurality of collapsible stairs mounted in a spiral fashion, a deck of chance cards, dice, and pawns for the players. A tower top is mounted to the upper portion of the tower for rotation and downward vertical movement. A tube is mounted within the tower, and a number of pegs are mounted in the tower wall, one peg supporting a corresponding stair. The tube and pegs cooperate to transmit the rotational and vertical movement of the tower top to the collapsible stairs. The player picks a card and follows instructions printed on the card. During the game, certain cards instruct the players to rotate the tower top, causing openings in the outer wall of the tube to be located adjacent different combination of pegs, the combination being hidden and unknown to the players, such that the next vertical movement of the tower top and the tube results in an unknown combination of stairs to collapse. Certain stairs include hooks for engaging the pawns and preventing their fall should the stairs collapse. The tower also includes several small openings spaced from certain other stairs that allow pawns moved to particular spaces on those stairs to engage the tower to also ensure that the pawns do not fall should the stairs collapse.

A game apparatus for a strategic pattern building board game with a feature for ejecting playing markers is defined. The game board has a multiplicity of channels having a first end and an opposite second end for receiving and ejecting playing markers respectively. The multiplicity of channels may be disposed between a first wall having a multiplicity of first apertures that define a matrix within the first wall and a second wall having a multiplicity of second apertures juxtaposed relative to the first wall. One or more openings disposed at the second end allow a player to eject playing markers. A retainer may be used to maintain playing markers in the matrix, and the retainer may comprise a pivoting and shifting set of bars that allows or prevents ejecting and emptying the matrix of playing markers. Some playing markers have indicia that define game play.
