An LED light fixture and methods are provided in which the light from central portions of the LED light sources are reflected to illuminate areas on the periphery of an associated area, while less intense light from the sides of the LED light sources illuminate interior portions of the associated area to produce a uniform illumination, both horizontally and vertically, while minimizing direct glare from the light sources. The LED light fixture includes a heat sink having cooling fins on the periphery of the housing.

A lighting fixture includes a socket that operatively receives a light bulb, lamp, or light source. A means for receiving electrical power is provided. A cylindrical capacitor is at least partially secured to the lighting fixture by at least one wire tie via a plurality of holes arranged in a mounting surface of the lighting fixture. Preferably, the cylindrical capacitor includes a rim. The mounting surface includes a retaining tab arranged thereon and a slot formed therein. The retaining tab cooperates with the slot to partially secure at least a portion of the capacitor rim. The secured rim portion further cooperates with the at least one wire tie to operatively secure the capacitor to the mounting surface of the lighting fixture.

Capacitor mounting apparatus

A twist lock attachment system for attaching a fixture having a sheet metal mounting plate that is part of a sheet metal housing to a structural support. The exemplary fixture disclosed is a lighting fixture attached to a wiring conduit. The mounting plate has a generally circular mounting aperture. A twist lock bushing includes a tubular body correspondingly generally circular in cross section. The mounting plate and the twist lock bushing releasably engage each other by relative movement to insert the tubular body into the mounting aperture with the mounting plate and the bushing angularly oriented in an insertion and removal position with reference to each other, followed by rotation of the mounting plate and the twist lock bushing relative to each other to an installed position.

Light fixture with tool-less component module mounting structure

A form has a zigzag shape, around which an associated electrical cord is wrapped over and under a plurality of times. The form preferably includes at least a portion having a shape corresponding to one of a sine wave, a square wave, a triangle wave, a continuously curved wave, and a &ldquo;Z&rdquo;-shape. The form is preferably retained near an electrical device by a retaining element. The retaining element preferably includes at least one of a partially blocked conduit, a narrowing conduit, a partially blocked tube, a bent tube, and a narrowing tube. The conduit preferably receives the form therein. The interfaces of the associated cord and the form preferably effectuate a frictional locking therebetween.
